Blackjack player wins £1,7m after suing betfred

No idea how he won this. But Id lean with betfred. 1,7m just isnt plausible.
Even the jackpot rollover wins on slots/poker are something like 400k if that.

It is. Other sources say: "Andrew Green, 54, from Washingborough, was playing Frankie Dettori’s Magic Seven on the betting app, and after six hours he went from £100 to £1.7 million in January 2018."

Frankie Dettori’s Magic Seven is a slots game.

    doubtful he won it fairly.

"plus an additional £60,000 'goodwill gesture' on the grounds he agreed not to talk about it. " lol

Betfred claimed a malfunction had prevented the game from resetting properly

High Court judge Mrs Justice Foster ruled that Betfred had no grounds for withholding payment from Mr Green. The judgment means he will finally receive the payout plus interest, estimated to be around £2million.

Betfred has now apologised to Mr Green for the delay in paying out, and said it will not appeal against the judgment.

I would imagine if BetFred could have proven the malfunction they alleged, the court would have to find for them.

Judge comments and no appeal kind of suggest they just assumed a malfunction due to the size of the win I think. Like you guys are.

pretty sure the makers would say it wasnt supposed to pay out 1.7m... watched some streamers of slot and no one has won 1m afaik. and that looks a dead slot.

some sites saying 250k max payout for that game which seems reasonable and thats if u play 100 a go.
probably didnt want the headlines... Fred done bought willhill when it was 30p.. probably up 100mil on that.

the issue is probably the makers said no one is supposed to win or get that lucky since online casinos are meant to take take take and instead here they gave gave gave

a win for the good guys
