does sbr find the practice of cancelling wagers and not notifying acceptable?

    I dont.

I had bets cancelled at lowvig and sportsbetting.ag in the last week. They secretly cancel the wager and dont notify the customer. We can debate till the cows come home whether these were "bad lines" or not (there is absolutely no obvious error but thats not what this thread is about). But how on earth is it acceptable to cancel wagers and never notify the customer? Forget about getting an acceptable explanation, they just delete wagers and never notify the clients it happened. The first thing that should be done is an email and a message on the account. This is unacceptable.

Does SBR feel differently? Is secretly cancelling wagers acceptable practice of an "A" book?

I think I am being pretty clear. When using the "bad line rule" to cancel marginal wagers (or any wagers) and the book wants to cancel the wager. Should they notify customers when cancelling the wager? Or just delete the wager and be on there merry way.

it should be obvious to any book to contact bettor with information about any cancelled bet.

There is a top rated book, that think its best to hide cancelling of wagers. Just grade it as a push/void and dont tell anyone. They will email me about this/that and the other all the time. But cancelling of wagers is not a big deal to them. Unimportant. They think Id have no interest in the status of my wager. As if a big part of wagering isnt the sweat. Almost as if its none of my business how they choose to grade the wager.

So does SBR find it acceptable practice for any book (let alone an "A" rated book) to cancel wagers without notifying customers? If the line is 5, 10, 20 cents maybe off market, And book deems it a "bad line" , can the book just delete the wagers and never say a peep to the client? Is that acceptable practice?

So does SBR feel this behavior is appropriate? cancelling wagers and never telling anyone? Not even giving a reason? This is appropriate of an A book?

    I don't think it's acceptable.

But I don't think this is how these books operate.

Have you looked in your message inbox there?

In the past I have gotten an email from cashier@betonline with the title "Important New Message" telling me to login to the site message system to see the message telling me my bet was cancelled.

You seem to have such a never ending set of problems with this group of books I have to wonder 1) Why you continue to play there and 2) If you are lying.

How can it be acceptable under any conditions? They can cancel winners and leave losers, etc. Anyone condoning this practice is an outright brainwashed amateur in this business. Including SBR..........

Ive never had an email for cancelling bets at various euro books. But then Im positive there will have been a valid reason (or knew myself)

Also, im sure if i asked, they would give a valid reason.

Valid reason? What is valid about not taking 20 seconds to let someone know they have no bet? The reason to cancel could be valid, but letting someone sweat a game for hours, win, and then find out he had no bet can never be valid.

What's a bigger issue is when they cancel it after the event is over, citing "bad line". You have no way of knowing if they indeed refunded all players, or just the side that benefits them. Can't help but think you just got freerolled.

There are a few books I can't help but think they just throw up the occasional "bad line" so they can freeroll half the players.

Never once lied on these forums (to my knowledge). I use them for truth. Ask betonline/sportsbetting what their policy is for cancelling wagers (specifically live ones) and see what they say. It should prove that I am being truthful about a policy that is wrong with these books. Any other instance you think I am lying, feel free to call me out in forum or PM and I'll be happy to prove the truth. I thank u for the work u do here.

I still use these books cause I'm in the US and not that many options. And I trust them more than others. It doesnt mean they are perfect or even close to it. Is this forum not meant to truthfully critique books so the truth is out? Constructive criticism/ reviews for others? The truth is great for the players. And the truth is great for the books doing the right thing too.

Of my last 10,000 wagers placed maybe 5 were cancelled. 2 were by lowvig and sportsbetting revently. They didnt even notify me , let alone give me a reason. (These were super borderline to cancel, not Obvious errors). 1 of these cancelled were at 5dimes. They sent me an email and a note in my account right away. How these companies handled it was light years apart. Betonline should change there policy to be an A book in my opinion. The secretly cancellef wagers were cancelled b4 the game but that's for another day. They should do better.

No note in my account like u suggest maybe happened. No email sent to check account. I get those for payouts all the time. I was never contacted. Long ramble here on my phone and I apologize for that.

These wagers were cancelled in a proper time frame to the best of my knowledge. The notification. Is the issue here. (And the reason too but I'm not fighting that battle on these)

I don't think you lie. That crack was out of line. I really don't understand why you keep playing there though. It feels like barely a week goes by where you don't start a new thread like this for months.

And it feels like half your complaints come down to what "might" happen based on their bad systems or bad rules. Not what actually happens. If you think they are so untrustworthy...

You have the right to post your concerns of course, and I've never tried to stifle you, but surely there comes a point where even you realize you are losing credibility by continuing to play there. Like you just want to keep finding reasons to be critical for your own amusement.

If not, there must be something unique and awesome about them to keep you coming back?

I trust them to pay the balance in the end. That's the most important thing and only a handful of places I can say that about.

I have started threads with the book about the website not working properly (and started 1 acknowledging a working website). I started this thread about a practice that I feel almost anyone sensical would agree is wrong. And I started 1 when dealing with poor customer service at lowvig(run around on a poorly graded wager). Are any of my threads unfair? Am I missing any?

I dont have so many options, I dont think it's wrong of me to use them and hold them accountable. I hold them to a high standard. Shouldn't an A+ book be held to a high standard? I feel like you are attacking the messenger and not the message. I'm pointing out a practice that a top book shouldn't be doing. You agree. Nothing more, nothing less. Players should know. Sbr should take into account. Betonline has to know what they are doing is wrong. Threads like this are GREAT for the industry. Build trust between books/players/sbr.

The 2 wagers in question are live bets before the match started. They open it up 5-10 minutes b4 match starts. I have placed hundreds(maybe thousands) of these with no issue up until the last 2 weeks.

We were going to ask you to clarify that. The nature of pregame vs live changes the situation. Even if the software prompted you, in many cases you wouldn't be able to resubmit the same wager at the correct odds, but we agree notice when possible is preferred. Each sportsbook should work on these software features.

The technical issues lasting so long do mean it's not A+ right now. No argument.

But in a market, as you say, with limited options I genuinely believe they are a stand out as one of the best options for winning/sharp bettors. Because they are fair thinking and actually give sharp bettors a reasonable chance to win and keep playing there. You can see that from their bonus rules and decisions they make when player complaints come up.

I don't know if it is your intent, but your personal ongoing negative campaign coupled with the strong search engine reach of SBR will be having a tangible negative effect on their business by now. If you really do like them as an out, it's worth considering that at some point.

Not my effect to negatively effect their business. Is my intent for the truth to be displayed. I dont know how to balance that.

As I have stated before, they are maybe the best US facing book (or right there) when things are going well. But as a regular client, dealing with customer service is something I dont look forward to.

If you are saying just take their faults because of the good they offer, I see that argument. But thats more of a B rated book in my opinion. I see what you are saying though. I do. And at least for me the forums are more negative that positive. I dont post " just got a large bitcoin payout from betonline in under 24 hours", or "betonline with great limits on xxx events" to balance the negative. Maybe I should. But I post truth every time. Maybe I should be more careful, but I though a thread was my best bet in getting bet online management to acknowledge the flaw in what they are doing. I have emailed lowvig on the subject many times and they never acknowledged the idea of notifying clients of cancelled wagers as something that should be done. Having said that, I need them more than they need me. I should probably be more careful and for that I apologize.

I'd love to see AsianOdds and other brokers would accept US players without any restrictions, Bitcoin workaround etc.

You would not experience such problems and enjoy a great CS that always informs you when bets get voided, no matter if pre match or live.

The only Costa Rica based and US-focused books I used was bookmaker.eu and 5dimes and I don't see ANY reason to go back. Bookmaker's CS was horrible, bad communication, nerve-racking KYC, asked for selfies and didn't reply for 3 days after that. 5dimes design is from the 90's and they removed matches after one max bet, seems to be more kind of a recreational book. Both are considered as top-notch offshore books, so I do not even want to find out about Betonline and all the other "A rated" books...
