BetOnline - Someone drained my entire account

Hi there, first time poster on the site. Hopefully I'm in the right sub-forum for this. I can't find anywhere that would make sense to post this. I am extremely salty about what happened to me two days ago on BetOnline. I'll try to keep it sweet and to the point:

I had deposited $50 USD about 5-6 days ago because I've never tried the site before and wanted to check it out. I've actually had an account for a while but never deposited money before. With a huge stroke of luck, I managed to run the money up to a little over $4,000 USD, mainly through blackjack. I go to sleep one night, knowing exactly how much was in my account ($4,000+). The next morning, (about 2 days ago), I wake up to a balance of $8 in my account. Of course I am freaking out because only about 5-6 hours prior I had $4,000 in my account. I browsed around the site a little and found the history of where my funds had gone. I noticed that during the time I was sleeping, an amount of exactly $4,000 USD was transferred to the "Poker" section of the site. Immediately I attempted to log in to the my poker account (it uses the same username and password as the normal Betonline account) and it doesn't work. I called BetOnline's customer service and explained my issue of not being able to log in and he told me to try to log in with my account number (as opposed to my e-mail). This worked and for the first time ever (I've tried in the past) I was able to log in to my Poker account. The first thing I noticed was the balance of around $4. The second thing I noticed was the alias (username) was one that I am not familiar with. I suppose BetOnline requires you to come up with a Username when you first join the poker section of the site. I had never done this before and the name that it showed I didn't recognize (I only use a few select usernames for games and sites and this one I've never seen before).

I found out that you can look through the hand history on the poker site, and so I did. Whoever did this had used and lost all of my money on the $3/$6 jackpot table. Throughout what was something like 150 hands, they had managed to lose the entire amount of $4,000 that was transferred over.

Since then I've filed a support ticket through the phone and received e-mails with additional questions about my situation. It sounds like they are actually reviewing the situation but it will obviously take some time.

I have never had any accounts on any site or game compromised except for this one. It just seems fishy to me that as soon as I win a few grand in a matter of two or so days all of my money just disappears like that. Who did this? It's a real shame because I was not able to withdrawal the money within 7 days after depositing it.

This case is really fishy to me, it seems as if they might not have wanted to pay up. The only thing I can think of is me clicking the "remember me" checkbox. I did this the day prior to losing my money.

I have found someone with a very similar case to mine, but it happened in 2012:
    https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/2...d-etc-1224459/

Obviously like this guy said, I'm not looking for sympathy and I realize the risks that one takes when they deposit money into the site. However, this situation is very fishy to me. I'm just glad I only put my original $50 into the site and I didn't lose more than that.

I will update this post once I receive the next e-mail from BetOnline. It's a shame because they are rated an A+ on this site.

Crossing my fingers for this one.

Can someone create a list of all threads with complaints about BOL misbehavior within the past year, or is there not enough server space?

If someone has dumped off your balance at poker there is probably a good chance to get it back if their investigation shows it is probably not just you having a drunken bad session.

Far from what Evo says there, Betonline have multiple examples of where they have gone above and beyond to be fair to players over the last couple of years. And I doubt it is possible to point to even one complaint posted that has not been handled fairly.

If you send in a Sportsbook Complaint form SBR may be able to help ensure all is done that can be.

I appreciate your reply, I feel a little better about all this now. I have done all that I can and just need to be patient.

story has a few red flags in my opinion....BUT if it is true that you where hacked and got stuck by chip dump fraudsters it is very very easy to prove and track....Betonline is top place and very good poker support...could you please share those poker hands with us? Post them here..We will be able to tell very easily

Thanks everyone I appreciate the replies. It does seem really odd, I know. You can't trust anyone on the internet obviously. Thank you @littlekona, your reply makes me feel a lot better about all this. I have to go to work now but I will look through and post some of the hands later on. Is there a way to easily export them?

Edit: My poker account has been locked (because they are hopefully reviewing it) I was able to see the hands yesterday but there were just too many to go through.

This situation usually ends up with a brother, nephew, roommate, or visiting friend getting on your computer and donking off your money but I hope that isn't the case here and you get it back.

Lol, yeah I think I'm done with online gambling (unless it's Pokerstars) after this experience (money back or not). I have lots of casinos around me and I always prefer to be able to hold my physical chips in hand.

Anyways, why would I want to run my money up again when there is risk that the same thing will happen to me again?

Hey BigOrange, I appreciate your kind words. I was never able to log into my poker account in the first place, which makes me optimistic that they can see that my IP had never logged into it.

How did you look at your hand history if you never were able to log into your poker account? Do they show hand history somewhere else?

I had found out through transaction history that all of my funds were transferred to poker, in which then I attempted to log into my poker account. I tried with my e-mail as I have before and it didn't work, so I called BetOnline CS. The man told me to try my account number as opposed to my e-mail address, and wahlah I logged in. I was expecting the transferred money to still be there but there was only about $4 left in my poker account. I then went and tried to find the hand histories and it said it was all lost in over 100 something hands on a $3/$6 bad beat jackpot table. I only had time to look through some hands as I had to go to work, but I definitely remember seeing at least one that was -$600 with some stupid cards like J3o or something.

Hey Kona I appreciate it. If it was me who lost the money I wouldn't be here telling the story. I realize it's sort of a "dog ate my homework" type of situation, especially trying to explain it over the internet. Thank you to the people who aren't so quick to assume I'm lying about it.

Alright guys, here's my post from another forum. They refunded $4 back to my account, but I am still missing about $3,995.
    ________________________________________ __________________________

Alright guys, I have received word from BetOnline and they have "refunded" the money back into my account. As soon as I read the e-mail I logged into my account and they indeed had replaced the $4 that was left on my poker account, so I now have a total of $12. I am still missing a total of $3995 from my account, which I sent to them in another e-mail. Below I will post Gyazo links of the biggest hands lost. Note that this username "thenoKezz" I never created as I was never able to even log in to my poker account.
https://gyazo.com/5a1648d811ad6da2ad9ef6bc11ae9488 - this one shows the amount of -$3995 lost in about 85 hands (I had originally thought it was over 100)
I will post the hands where the account lost more than $100 only to save some time

Accounts "benji" and "UbLudok" seem to be very suspicious as they were the ones who received most of the money from this account. Also, going through some of the hands that "thenoKEZZ" had won, these accounts seemed to have folded almost every time.

If anyone has time to look through these and tell me what you think I highly appreciate it. Some of the hands actually make sense as to the right thing to do but some hands are just fishy.
Thanks for your time and help.

How much of the money, in total, was lost to each username do you think?

I haven't reviewed those hands but it sounds strange if they would muck around too much with the dump. Or use two accounts.

I'd expect the idea would be to get the money transferred to another account and withdrawn before you said anything.

I review many of those and find it hard to believe it was a classic chip dump...for one the other player in the hand has premium hands in most cases has you dominated...number two like optional stated there are various players that are beating you....The only hand that is a bit odd is the one you pointed out last but even that one there is boat or flush that could beat you though it was a bad fold or a misclick maybe...What happens is guys tag you as a fish and stay until you leave or bust....Many of those hands just look like a guy on tilt....Thats my opinion and I do hope I am wrong as that is one hell of a story 50 to 4K....

The full amount has been refunded to my account. Thanks to everyone for your help. I would like to keep playing on this site but I’m not even sure how my details were compromised in the first place. It makes me nervous to enter personal information on the site.

I believe they closed the account that was involved in the dumping.

A statement would be nice. As I mentioned somewhere above I don’t think I ever clicked any fake links. I’m definitely not playing poker anymore and I’m nervous about my money in there right now to be honest.
