Ok, everything is clear now.

A 5.8-magnitude earthquake jolted several areas of Southern Mindanao around 4:37 p.m. Friday but no damages were immediately reported and no tsunami alert issued.

And my odds scanner stopped working at... you guess it... at the same minute.

So most probably pinnacle has all their data on phillipines servers, while antilles as just a kind of proxy, which was made because they must have their server hosted in Curacao due to licensing conditions.

But Cake Poker was also down, and phillipines is quite a strange place to host backup servers... So i might guess that all curacao internet infrastracture was depending on phillipines host-centres... and they are down because of earthquake.

Two conclusions from this information:

1) Pinnacle is not going to disappear, it is REALLY technical problems, why they are offline.
2) There is a possibility... that this problems are that serious, that some (or all) data might be lost, just pray pinnacle IT-guys were smart enough to make frequent backups somewhere else... And i am not sure they are... And this might be the answer, why they are not reopen mirror site, they just lost their customers and wagers database...

Or maybe not that scary, it is possible that servers are ok, just broken network/electricity to datacentre... this explains why pinnacle doesn't do anything, they just wait till everything will be repaired... it is good option, and quite probable one... Also, they support replied, stating they have problems with electricity... i hope they will be back online in several hours.

It was a techincal/major poweroutage issue. Even thier poker room was still running cause it's not connected to a website but rather accessed by installed software, so that was running, but there's no access to sports from the poker room. Point is their poker was working. Power outage affected their servers I think, something like that. Bottom line is they back, nobody lost thier funds. They have been down many times before, plannned and not planned. They are one of the biggest books. The government in their country regualtes the indusry, by making sure they able to pay all the customers at any time. That's is my observation from what I read and what I experience with them personally. I can make no gurantees of course, all I can is give my opinion.

It's happened before. I've had an account at Pinnacle for nearly a decade. On at least three occasions that I recall, they were down for significant periods of time, sometimes up to 24 hours.

I'm not sure why back then, and I'm not sure why it has happened this time. But if I were to ever start going into a panic because some twats have joined SBR to announce that the sky is falling, then my next step would be to cease online gambling forever.

I'm not worried in the slightest. I've given up on placing wagers tonight. My goals now are to switch gears and surprise the missus, see if she wants to watch a movie tonight or something; Maybe get a blowjob towards the midnight hour. Then tomorrow I'll check in on the situation and see what's the latest.....
