It will be the same as last year.

Real bookmakers (bookmaker and greek) will have them on every game with lower limits in the early season (pinnacle will copy with $100 limits -- they might as well not have them). By the mid-conference season every book will have them and limits will be higher

The rumor no doubt stems from the fact that Edward of RAS has announced he's not starting his total service til December 1. He has been very profitable in November, so people read between the lines that he doesn't expect a market (or at least a liquid market) to be offered in November.

Books lose more on college bball totals then any other aspect of any other sport. By far the most beatable # out there.

I remember this game my first grade teacher would have us play back in the day. She'd have all of the kids sit around in a big circle and start off whispering to one kid, "Little Sally sure is pretty today with her yellow dress and pink hair ribbon." That kid would then repeat what they heard to the next kid in the circle and on around until the end when the final kid would repeat something like, "Sally caught Jimmy wearing his sister's yellow dress and jerking off into his grandmother's Sunday bonnet."

Ok, it didn't end up quite like that when we were 7-yrs old, but I figure something similar is how this rumor got started. Some linesman somewhere made some comment like, "We probably won't offer totals on a lot of early season games, and we won't have any overnight totals until January." And it has eventually become NO TOTALS AT ALL.

These limits get softer every year since UIGEA. Sad that it has had this kind of impact.
