    The SBR reasoning

Online sportsbook 1XBet has received a rating upgrade from D- to D. While there have been many complaints submitted from 1XBet players, most of the issues have been focused on account security and compliance issues, as well as the customer service from 1XBet. Players with verified accounts have reported receiving payment.

      Ridiculous.

Players with verified accounts have reported receiving payment.
Well, players with negative balance or two to three digit payouts, yes. All others get screwed by this scambook.

Yep. So I can start a sportsbook and basically pay out all the players I will allow to verify themselves. Stiff everybody else by simply not allowing them to verify their account, screw players by grading bets completely wrong while not allowing anyone to change my mind even if they are 100% correct...and expect a solid rating from SBR after a few years. Nice.

        This is scandalous.

D- or D isn't going to make a difference to most people. 1xBet remains on SBR's blacklist of worst online books:

          sportsbookreview.com/betting-sites/blacklist/

If SBR changes that list they will probably need to justify themselves, (seeing as a lesser known D+ book is still on that list). I've had no dealings with 1xBet so I have no dog skirt and handbag in this fight. Personally the rating won't mean anything as far as some are concerned until SBR can confirm 1xBet has a physical address where KYC issues can be dealt with and documents are dealt with properly. I've seen too many comments about people being asked to send documents to 1xBet only for those documents to be returned or go missing. Given 1xBet's recent history there should at least be an SBR warning for new customers to thoroughly go through the KYC procedure with 1xBet before even making a deposit.
I hope things work out for all concerned.

It's more about the signal SBR sends out. After all what has happened 1xbet should have been automatically disqualified for any upgrade in the future.

It's about the future not the past. SBR seems to be making a judgement call on where 1xBet are now and what direction they're heading rather than what they've done in the past. It's their judgement and reputation not mine. They know the business situation better than me. Presumably 1xBet has convinced SBR that most customers are being paid and dealt with fairly. If 1xBet are on the up and up then they ought to have an address outside of Russia where issues can be dealt with. If not an address of their own they could at least pool with another company.

I like it assuming they are making progress. A "D" sure ain't much to brag about but it's at least a step in the right direction.

Surprising upgrade for me as well as much as others, but SBR will have a clearer picture than any of us.

It's also very apparent that 1xbet have a lot of money and big ambitions behind them, so running like some dodgy back-room Russian bookie was never going to be sustainable. Eventually the reputational damage starts hurting the bottom line, and simple self-interest forces them to move towards being fully respectable.

And yet only a little over a month ago, 2 SBR employees mentioned their disdain about 1xbet in this thread:

I suppose a lot has changed since then and all those issues have been resolved by now. I'm expecting a few posts mentioning "I got my money" in every thread (and there are a LOT of them) in the coming days. I understand Shari and Optional have no direct influence over the rating, but come on...by doing things like this all SBR does is damage their own rating systems believability and it puts the real rating of each and every other book on the rating list in question.

Due to the fact 1xbet seems to put a lot of money into marketing (Andrea Pirlo, Serie A, big affiliate campaign etc) it wouldn't surprise me if they systematically made fake accounts that write positive things about them.

I mean, we live in times where presidential elections get influenced by bots and fake users...

I was advised to check sbr, but I have questions about the procedure and the issues involved.
This upgrade spoiled everything. 1xbet is scam. It should appear as F and not D.

Rating D for 1xbet can put a lot of people in error and seriously expose their budget to loss through ordinary cheating.

I totally disagree with such a change and you do not need to be an expert to find dozens, if not hundreds, of people who have been deceived by this bookmaker.

This is not about correct account verification, because when you trying to pay a larger amount, 1xbet completely blocks such an accounts by asking for such detailed documents as the bank when you taking out a loan. Although you have previously received information that your account is fully verified!

In my opinion, the reasons for upgrading the rating may be two:
-1xbet rolled SBR just as they rolled out their users
                                        -1xbet agreed with SBR

I was surprised when they got D- grade, now I'm shocked. The only and fair rate they deserve is F Forever.
