Yeah it's interesting. Bruges is a real surprise bag this season. Maybe we should keep that in mind. They are often good over material but you can't predict a 1x2 with this team.

I feel you, and I don't get it. Newcastle has a real good team on the paper, and these guys are playing like fcking shit. But honestly, a team that has bought Demba Ba is just dumb. One of the biggest mercenaries you could imagine.

English and Dutch teams in Europa League are total fade this season. They just do not give a fck.

That's the problem with the Europa League in general. Stupid UEFA ruined it. Used to be a great cup with prestige back in the days. Now the big teams give a flying fck about it. It's way more important to get good results in your league than in the EL.
Qualification is great for all the poor teams to fix each and every single match (I love this every year again, making a fortune in these games), and after that, there is just no money in EL. So teams don't care.
I would love to see a REAL CL again, a great UEFA Cup and the Cup of the cup winners again. All of them were great and had lots of prestige!
But UEFA ruined both and put it all on the CL.

I don't know if it's the Dutch teams not giving a fck or they just are not strong enough. I am sure that if PSV had won at home against AIK they'd play to the fullest to get trough. Same for Twente, they are just weak.

But with Ajax, PSV and Twente losing this many games they will have to take the consequences; again one less place for the Dutch teams in the European Leagues in future years.

Europa league has become a necessary evil for most of the teams. After liquidating previous cups, especially UEFA cup, all the teams look up to CL. Nobody wants to play this silly Europa league anymore. Most of the teams start playing seriously if they get to quaterfinals, then they're like "hey, we've gone so far, let's play real soccer now, we might win something". Until then nobody gives a fck. And the qualification are shaped that way that the weak teams still can't get thru, and those that get in think that they should play in CL. That's why imo, all the teams which lost in 4th round of qualification to a CL shouldn't get an automatic promotion to Europa league. That's just stupid. That's way 3 cups before was a great solution for all. CL for Champions only, Uefa cup was for solid teams, Cup of winners cup all those unknown, one season heroes teams. Now everybody is like CL or nothing.

Tbh, this match is more than lame. Going to the studio right now to get in shape and hopefully Monaco does the same in HT.
I was really happy, that Simone was fired, but honestly, Ranieri is even worse. That has nothing to do with soccer. He's a bad coach and the way he likes to play, isn't made for this team. Monaco has lot's of really good players, that's just not enough.

That was exactly my thought here. Who should defend Melo? Don't think Wallace is able to do it a whole game. And tbh: what have the Nets shown before? If the Knicks don't take a day off, they should get this one done. 2 unit play for me here.

My only concern here is the knicks playing away from home have been getting absolutely no calls at all (kind of standard in the nba for road teams) and melo has been getting frustrated quickly when the refs piss him off. Other than that, they have the better team and should get the job done on normal circumstances
