Didn’t good to the match today. cbf to be honest. I’m hoping Victory sign Miron as coach, his brilliant with tactics etc, and interesting personality.... alot of restructuring will be needed.

Victory will be losing alot of players after the season.. Hoping they cut Vargas (has lost it) , Kemp (injuries have cut him down, junk defender), PONDELJAK (old, and shit), BREBNER (old, lacking temperament)... and guys like KEWELL and HERNDAEZ could leave.. Milligan and LUZARDO are on loan, so will be gone after the season.

Will need to sign some young talent, need coverage in the central mid, and another solid defender.

I've not been impressed by Sydney FC all year, and while CCM had a really average game against Heart last week, they still have shown alot more over their last few games. While CCM have only one once in their last 5, this has been without some of their brightest stars. Matt Ryan, Bozanic & Amini have now all had a chance to settle in after international duty and with Rogic in good form I think they can take this one at home. Sydney stars Carle & Emerton were also playing midweek for Socceroos, so will be probably have their time limited. This can only help CCM.

EDIT - Scratch Amini. Sounds like he was too busy partying while on Olympic duty.

Miron would be a nice choice, he worked wonders this year with a young GCU side. Jim M hasn't created any improvement amongst the players in the last 2 months. The defense let's this team down week in, week out.

Time for a recruitment drive. I know plenty of GCU players who are looking for long term deals.

AFC Champions League, Brisbane Roar v FC Tokyo, Over 2.5 @ 1.85 -1u

Both teams play an attacking style of football and both will be keen to get off on the right foot in the first match-up of this years AFC CL. Roar Coach Ange has said he is not changing his teams style of play for this game, and I expect them to press hard. They will want a lead going into the second leg and goals should be on the cards. FC Tokyo are a quality side. Although they have left a couple of star strikers back home in preparation for J-League they are full of talent and can give Roar a really hard time. My only concern is that both teams may be a little flat after playing on the weekend, and this might show on the pitch, but I still think the over is the safer bet. Really looking fwd to this game!

I'm going to play the next game though, chalky, but I think it's the most likely outcome.

Adelaide are going into this with a very defensive mindset. Formation will be 4-5-1. It seems they know they will be outclassed and are hoping to just park the bus and then score if they can on the counter. I think there is aim is to not let Bunyodkor to score and then take the fight to them on the 2nd leg. I doubt they keep them goalless through 90mins though. Bunyodkor to win.

0-1 at HT. United with mostly second choice lineup. The pitch looks like the army was using it to practice laying down an artillery barrage last night. Apart from that the Uzbeks don't look like overcoming their deficit.

Still havent hit a good run in awhile, but I havent been too unhappy with my choices of late. Will have one more in UEFA CL tonight I think.

Bunyodkor have had plenty of chances this 2nd half, but it just isn't happening. Full credit to Adelaide, I never thought they'd come out of this game with a victory. This is the same ground Olyroos played on a few weeks ago, although the pitch was covered in ice on that occasion, they have managed to look much better than they did!

nope, im a sucker! Pretty shocked the way Adelaide performed last night, but I think that will be the abnormal result. I've just been watching the two games on now, flicking between the two, so im not getting a full picture but i think these chinese teams are strong, they will all kick ass.

I'm not really worried about Tianjin's lack of proper match fitness as their season is only just starting. FC Tokyo were in the same boat and looked the better side against Brisbane. Bunyodkor were also in the same position and lucked out, but they never seemed flat and controlled much of the ball, especially the 2nd half, so I expect Tianjin to be fine in that regard.

Weather is a balmy 0 degrees, which I don't think will help the CCM boys. The Mariners havent been in great form up against A-League competition, so i don't think they will be able to put up much of a fight against a veteran AFC side, especially one as pacey as Tianjin.
