Many of us were disappointed by Germany, but I think the main reason German loosed is that Thomas Mueller was out. If the refree accepted a Penalty for Germany in the first half, then Germany would have had better chance to win because they have never loosed when they scored first.

Uruguay is a strong team with Diego Forlan and Luis Suarez, but I think Germany who defeated both England and Argentine, will win the game.

Don't forget that Klose is on the verge of being the top scorer of World Cup history before the Brezilian Ronaldo if he scores two more goals! I think it's a great motivation for the player, and with Thomas Mueller's return, Klose will have a lot of chance to score!

Yet, I'll wait for Paul the Octopus prediction about this match... amazingly, this Octopus has well predicted all the German matches including one defeat against Serbia and Spain!

Most of the current German squad didn't win the bronze in 2006. They are so young they have already seen their dreams crushed in two years with consecutive losses to ~~Germany~~ Spain. The last they want to see is another loss as big favorites. They would play like a disciplined and motivated German team and get the result for their fans and their coach.

Nobody cares who's in third place. Players may talk the talk, but are they really going to walk the walk? They have other things on their minds now, with a chance at the WC lost. They have to be ready for their club teams in just a matter of weeks. Some may be in contract negotiations with new clubs after a strong WC.

I'll make a small play on Uruguay. I don't doubt the motivation, but Germany is made quite a huge favorites. There shouldn't be any pressure from either side.

I wasn't even aware there was a third place game until after Germany lost. Why would anyone care about this game or get up for it? I don't know enough about soccer to know if that favors the over or the under.....maybe someone that knows soccer can tell me.
