hoping the Oranje butcher the Uruguayans just for the "hand of suarez" goal.Also if anybody noticed there were two Uruguayan players in the box as Asamoah Gyan was taking the penalty,which according to FIFA's complicated rule book,the penalty should have been retaken.
Uruguay will play "GREECE" like football,defend and counterattack and I hope they get slaughtered for it.The dutch must score early thou.I wanna see a holland vs germany final,that would be uber good.

As mentioned a bit earlier, Suarez + Lugano are out. Lugano being out in this game is a big deal - he's the heart/soul of Uruguay's defense. Can they regain their confidence in the back? I don't know. They didn't defend quite nearly as well. This is a pretty tight game. Rolling the dice 1 more time on Uruguay, but this is the least confident I've been in them so far in the tournament.

Initially I thought this would be a close game. Uruguay defence has generally been solid and the Dutch have been un-ambitious (except the 2nd half against Brazil, who just self-destructed).

Forlan has been one of the players of the tournament, but tonight he has to lead the line, and this could mean that Uruguay's best creative player get's no service. In addition Forlan has to pick up the armband to captain the side in place of the colossus Lugano, who has been influential in their success. They also miss their impressive left back Fucile and of course the dangerous Suarez is also out. That's three key players missing and also first teamer Fernandez out as well. This will of course affect their game plan.

The Dutch have De Jong missing, who has been excellent as a defensive midfielder, but they still have Van Bommell who plays exactly the same role. This may be a blessing in disguise as the Dutch may well move the ball through midfield a bit quicker tonight. If Van Persie and Robben can sort out who drops off wide and don't keep getting in each other's way, the Oranje may indeed be a more positive going forward, a la 2nd half v Brazil.

Van Persie has been very ordinary so far and is due a good game. With Sneijder and Robben providing regular service and Kuyt running the equivalent of 3 marathons, the Dutch have just too much for Uruguay tonight.

My initial thoughts of a draw in normal time or a narrow 1-0 Dutch win is now wide of the mark.

I think we could be looking at a comfortable 2 or even 3-0 victory here.

No way Uruguay can make it, they were outplayed by Ghana in the quarters and now with Suarez, Lugano (c), Fucile, Lodeiro out they have almost no chance in my opinion. Holland may not be as entertaining as we expected before the tournament, but they know what they want, defence is not conceding much and have lot of quality upfront.

Cavani will likely replace Suarez, he's not bad player, hard working but he won't create the same pain that Forland & Suarez would create to Holland's defence.
