Which Uruguay defense are you talking about? Logano, Godin and Fusile are not playing tomorrow. It's hard to judge a defense when 3 out of the 4 starters are missing. Do we know anything about the replacements?

Godin is playing , Caceres(a starter but has been carrying an injury) is replacing Fucile ,Lugano has a big chance to play if not he will be replaced by Victorino who has been very solid and pereira

The World Cup semi-final battle that seems the most clear cut to me is taking the Orange crush of the Netherlands. Coming off a victory over the number 1 team in the world, Brazil, the Netherlands are undefeated throughout World Cup play (although Uruguay can stake the same claim).

However, Uruguay hasn’t played quite the same level of competition as the Netherlands. Additionaly, up to this time point have not played a team of the Netherlands calibar. Often when this is the case a team is left back on its heels a bit—trying to guage and recalibrate itself to the speed of the game. I believe Uruguay will be in this position.

Adding to this, Uruguay will struggle with trying to adjust to a lineup devoid of stalwarts Luis Suarez and Jorge Fucile. This will put the Uruguay players in unfamiliar places on the field with unfamiliar matchups throughout. They will put together a defensive game plan to counteract these disadvantages, but overall the Netherlands will offer too much of an attack through their dynamic duo of Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneijder.

Expect an early goal in the first 15 minutes from the Netherlands and defensive battle from there. Either take the points for a nice +115 or eat a little bit on the moneyline.

Netherlands has only played 1 good team. Uruguay hasnt played anyone good either but the competition level of the oppostion in combination is about the same.

So you are saying that Uruguay has 6-7 equal world class defenders and at any time they can lose 3 of them and have a couple play half injured without affecting team chemistry when facing one of the best offensive teams in the tournament?

Um staring four are Fucile , Godin , Lugano and Pereira , if you read my post I said that the only that is not playing is Fucile who will be replaced by Caceres that before he got injured was the starting right back for Juventus

The dutch couldnt keep a clean sheet in there last 3 matches against brazil/slovakia and cameroon. korea and ghana were better than the latter 2

pavy, the Korean goal happened because Uruguay was leading and was comfortable sitting back and invited the Koreans to move forward. That goal was a header off a free-kick so I don't think the defense broke down by any stretch...

The Ghana goal was a long distance shot in the dying seconds of the first half where concentration might not have been top-notch.

I am certainly not disputing the fact that Uruguay backline will be quite different tomorrow, as a result of injuries and suspensions. Whether they are actually worse off remains to be seen.

I think Uru was playing conservative when they were up (as are most teams in the elimination rounds). Bigger/more goals number do not seem to be as important as long as they win. That's why favorites of 1+ always scared me in these rounds because they are rare. If you go back and watch that game you will see two different Uru teams playing when they were up oppose to when they were TIE. As soon as Korea tied the game, I don't think it took Uru that long to score again.

Apparently, you sir, had never played soccer... but if you do, I would never want you on my team because then you will become the DISGRACE. You do what you have to do to win, as long as it's in the context of the game. Yes, to some people he is a cheater. But he did what he HAD to do consider the situation.

PS. Did you have Ghana ML/advancing in that game?
