I'm new to this forum relatively. I see that people can bet points which seems kind of fun. I'll bet some points that Spain will advance over Germany. Anybody interested?

Somehow I can see Spain pulling this off. Losing Mueller to suspension is a HUGE blow to Germany, he has arguably been Germany's best player this World Cup beside Schweinsteiger. Don't forget that Spain's defence has been solid overall with no holes in the back, things that cannot be said for England's defence nor Argentina's defence.

Agree losing muller is one hell of a big blow to Germany.

Spain look sooo tempting at current odds. But im really wary of Germany following their last 2 performances I mean 4-0 against Argentina was some result & the way they destroyed England so easily...

Spain's defense however is much superior then both England & Argentina so would look to Spain to take a narrow 1-0 win in 90 here

guys you can't compare argentina and spain. i mean argentina plays with skill mostly. but spain has passing traffic. so german defence will have much more problem. their center backs are not that much fast guys. spain players can be effective with through balls in that passing traffic. and besides, germany will not have that much open areas in spain side like they had in argentina game. so i think spain will make it to the final

Your prediction simply means that everyone expects Germany to score early, and therefore Spain will defend even harder to prevent this from happening. I still believe Germany will qualify, but Spain is their hardest competition in the WC since Serbia.

spain to qualify. Germany is a team of discipline and counter attacks. They use mistakes of their opponents in midfield, which Spain dont actually have. There could be 1 big defensive error that Germany will take advantage of, but not more. Germans lack experience as well..

One thing to note is that Spain hasn't conceded a goal in their L3 games. Germany don't have as much of an edge as folks think they do. I think that if Spain take the lead in this game, we may see a "different" German team here. Just my 2 cents.

this is a tough one, at this stage you cant just look at a team on paper, all these players want it, fitness at this stage is going to be a big difference after a long season. I want to say spain will take this, but you take villa out i dont see where spain will get the goals. Germans have alot of different scorers capable of making a difference in the game.

Who is everyone? I said that Europe would win the cup this year. South american teams will have their shot in 2014. I'm sure others thought this as well. South American teams winning the cup this year was as square as can be.
