AC Milan - Novara

AC Milan is one of the best teams in the world at the current time. Their form is absolutely fantastic, and their latest performance is something to remember : 3-0 on road, against one of their biggest rivals, Juventus Torino, is a result that will have serious impact on both sides.
AC Milan plays in the Coppa d'Italia today against a team that I've never heard before, Novara. Novara is the leader of Group A, in Lega Pro 1, which is the name for the italian 3rd division. It's true that Novara has good stats : 13 victories, 6 draws, no defeat, an excellent +22 goal difference (30 goals scored, only 8 conceaded), but this information would be useful if we talking about one of their league games, and today we are talking about a match against one of the best club in the world, AC Milan. So, i think it's pointless to talk about Novara, so let's talk about AC Milan.
Altough no one agreed that Kaka was sold to Real Madrid, in the begining of the season, AC Milan's chairman Silvio Berlusconi knew for sure that this was the right move, for the team, at that time. Their squad, overall, is very competitive, and I don't mean only the regular first 11, I also think about their reserves.For instance, AC Milan scored 3 last match without having Pato and Huntelaar, two of their best scorers this year.
The today's match should be absolutely no problem for Milan, even if they use reserves (altough I doubt they will use more than 4-5). AC Milan has a fantastic morale, and they need to keep it at this level for the big matches that they expect : the "derby della madonnina" ( the match against Internatzionale Milano in 2 weeks) and the fierce double against Manchester United in Uefa Champions League.

Genoa - Catania

The second match of the day in Coppa d'Italia will be between Geno and Catania, both teams from Seria A. Genoa has many things on their side in this game, so the odds are also on their side. If we take a look at the Seria A table, the odds offered for Genoa are too good to be true, but let's keep in mind that Cup matches are different from league matches.
Genoa is currently 11th in Seria A, and their dreams of catching a European competition place for the next season aren't blown yet, even via Seria A. But of course, the shortest path will always be through the Coppa d'Itallia, and they have to eliminate Catania. Geno is 3 points behind Fiorentina, the current holder of the 6th place, the last one that aloows access to Uefa Europa League for the 2010-2011 season. The fight for that 6th place is, however, very tough, as 7 teams are separated by only 4 points. So, for Geno, the Cup is a more realistic path to the Europa League next season, so they will treat this competition very seriously.
Catania is in a delicate situation, being only 18th/20 in Seria A, the first religable place in Seria A. They started to gain some points lately, having 2 victories in the last 5 matches, which is a decent streak for a weak team like them. Catania will have a difficult second part of the season, they will fight Bologna, mainly, for survivinf in Seria A. therefore, i don't think that they are very interested in loading their schedule with Cup knock-out stage matches.
So, I think that Genoa is one of the lock of the day, and their 1.75 odd is excellent. They are for sure the higher value team, and they will do their best to advance in the Coppa d'Itallia so I'm gonna place a medium wager on them.

Yeah, it should be like 4-0 AC, some amazing goal keeping for Novara.. Entertaining game. I still feel confident they will get another at least in the second half.

Yep they are playing way harder.. an upset is for sure possible.. AC doesn't even look like they really want it this half.. soo many poor offsides and horrible shots.. I'm done watching it as well.

they also have team x -1.25, team x -1.50 and team x -0.75 and team x -0.5
