Initial thoughts looking at the odds for the 4 games that stand out;

1. I see a couple of draws during full time
2. I see 1 match to be decided in ET
3. I see 1 nil nil game

CRO/RUS & BRA/BEL look more open
ENG/SWE & URU/FRA Look more cagey

In the past 5 encounters between these 2 sides only 1 goal was scored and there were 4 0-0 results since 2002. In the past 7 games Uruguay have given up only 1 goal. I once again see Gimenez & Godin being solid at the back for the South Americans. We have not seen a 0-0 game yet in the knockout run and this might be just like Denmark v France.

I already have a future backing Belgium so I'm not going to back a side here. Both of these teams need no introduction to goal scoring Belgium past 19 games 63 GF. Brazil same time span 42 GF Belgium gave up 20 & Brazil 5. Having the total at plus money with two teams who don't park the bus is a must play. Marcelo should also start adding to the attacking aspect of the match.Casemiro is suspended weakening Brazil defence. Hoping for goals.

England are heavily overpriced by the books, yes they are the better side man for man, however Sweden did not get here by fluke. Historically the PK winner hangover is real as teams that won in PKs in the knockout stages tend to go out the next round. Only 4 of 16 bucked that trend. Only Germany managed to put 2 past Sweden this tournament the other 3 the Swedes won to nil. England are yet to keep a clean sheet. Head to head over the years since 2001--- 2 wins 2 losses & 3 draws between these 2. Under & Draw for me.

Even if the hosts lose out to Croatia they punched above their weight and made their nation proud. The books are giving too much love for the Russians as there is no way I would see this line before the tournament kicked off. Both sides have had 3 of their past 5 games go over 2.5 & both are coming off emotional PK wins. I expect a spectacle.

DJ Glad to see you on the over. I jumped on Over 2 @ 1.75 an hour after the semi final was set. I was also surprised to see France as fav. I am in a family Pool that my eldest daughter is running. England winning against Croatia, and the World Cup, will kill my sheet ( Big surprise that i had Spain vs Germany in that Semi

). I also have Belgium to win in both pools. Youre right tho...... The game will be won or lost in the midfield. Should be a great game.
