Korea v Germany

This is a very difficult game to cap as both teams need results and goals. The Germany ML is the highest juice so far in the tournament and there is no way I'm jumping on -2.5 at those prices. Germany could win 6-0 or get red carded ,Korea could get a Pk etc. I do feel we get some goals.

Sweden v Mexico

I think both of these sides are equal as far as performance in this World Cup. The books really love Mexico so I will back the other side. I see a very tight close match a draw is very likely but I fancied Sweden prior to the tournament and I'm sticking with them. defence wins here and Swedens defence is better than Mexicos

Serbia v Brazil

I'm not sold on Brazil which as usual are too juiced on any angle. They struggled versus Costa Rica & the Swiss I don't see any reason for backing them at these odds. Serbia have everything to play for and they should give it a go.

Switzerland v Costa Rica

The Swiss will be through with a draw and they know how to keep it tight at the back. Costa Rica has not scored a goal yet in the tournament and its hard to see where one will come from. I'm expecting a low scoring 1-1, 0-0 type of match.

As we have seen so far the books still don't give any love to the already eliminated sides. When it comes to meaningless games Poland have been pros in 2002 won 3-1 v USA & in 2006 2-1 v Costa Rica. Japan in their last group games both 4-1 losses to Colombia & Brazil. Both sides have had all their games finish over 2.5 and at plus money I love the value for some goals here.

Both sides here have had all their group matches go over 2.5. Colombia need the win to guarantee progress where as a draw will work for Senegal presenting us with a classic counter attacking setup for Senegal. They nick a goal, but Colombia showed what they could do with full strength versus Poland. I fancy them to win outright. 2-1 or 3-1 for Colombia.

Argentina & Messi are getting too much love from the books.They were lucky to get to this point after a really bad group stage performance. France are not a Nigeria or Iceland they are France who are arguably better than Croatia and we know how that ended up for the south Americans. France are well rested, stacked at all positions not just forwards like Argentina. Argentina could not cope with the midfield strength of Croatia & France have been too cautious having teams defend against them. Argentina unlike their great teams of the past cant defend which should play into the hands of the French.

Uruguay have yet to concede a goal in this tournament. They have not conceded in 2018 a span of 6 games and counting. Defence wins games so I have to back the side that is better at the back. Uruguay come into this game having won 6 straight. Portugal in 2018 have 3 wins 4 draws and 1 loss. Form wise Portugal loses out as well. The odds here for a draw are poor as one cant even get better than 3.00/+200 but the game could easily go to extra time. I just feel Uruguay sneak one in prior.

Russia v Spain

The hosts Russia played Spain back in November and drew 3-3. Form wise 2 of the past 3 group games for Spain ended up over 2.5 & All 3 of Russia's games ended over 2.5. Spain is suspect at the back lately & the Russian defence is slow. Ramos & Pique have not been great this tournament and Spain needs that pair to click if they are going to make a good run this tournament.
