A classic flip coin to pick a winner kinda of match. There is no doubt Heart is a very poor side. They signed Australian football best player in Kewell but he won't play as he was injured playing golf.
As for Adelaide, they are a quality side but has a manager who insist on playing only 1 style of football, the Barca way. Think of Spurs and AVB 4-2-3-1. Obviously it hasn't work out so far. But against a poor Heart team, I guess they must fancy their chances to get a badly needed win.Comment -
Adelaide v Roar -0.5
Both teams like to play possession football but only 1 team has the ability to do so. It's like Swansea v Barcelona here, Adelaide being Swansea, Roar being Barcelona. I watched Adelaide a few times, I'm really not convinced they have the players to play the style that Josep Gombau wants. In the last game, Heart even managed to expose their high line defence with a couple of long though balls. For the record, even though they dominate possession nearly every game but they are the team with the least number of passes going forward.
Roar will have key playmaker Liam Miller back too. If Heart can craved open Adelaide defence that easily, I can't see why the best team in A-league can't.
Mariners -0.5*** v Sydney FC
This will be my play of the week. Mariners were very poor last week. They have failed to score and win in their last 2 home games. Surely they can't be that poor again? Sydney will be missing Del Piero and their winning run surely must come to an end any time from now.Comment -

Victory played well and created enough chances to win their last 2 games but yet they got only a point to show for. Against a poor away team like Glory and 1 without key players like Smeltz, Sidnei, Gallas and Risdon, surely they must be able to convert some of their chances into goals for a win.

Last week, they were more than a match against the best team in Roar but poor finishing let them down. I always believe in the due factor when capping games. Could be a goal or a win. Adelaide is really not a bad team so it's just a matter of time they get that win. Because of the value in the odds and the due factor, I'm willing to make this my play of the week.

Like the saying in Roma goes, no Totti, no party. Same for Sydney FC as well, no ADP, no party as well. Despite dominating possession in the loss against CCM last week, they looked totally clueless in the attacking half without ADP. He should be back this week, giving them the much needed creativity they lacked.
I don't think I need to say anything about Heart, right? Haven't won an away game since 21st Oct 12, losing 15 out of 18 games. Will take a very very brave man to back them.
