Roar -1 should be the best play of the week against Perth side weakened by injuries and suspension. 1st choice defenders Scott Jamieson and William Gallas will be out for Perth. Captain and defensive midfielder Jacob Burns is also going to be suspended for 2 games. As for Roar, star striker B.Berisha looks good in his last game after coming back from an injury, scoring in the 5th min. They have no injuries or suspension problems.

I'll be on the Roar -1.5 in that one. As I think I've mentioned Brisbane look to me the best team in the comp, Perth have been pretty decent at the back but don't offer much up front. There's been a bit of feeling in this contest in recent times with the grand final dodgy calls going against Perth but without Jacob Burns to stir things up in midfield I think the Roar will cruise 2 or 3 nil.

Like Wellington at big odds against WSW also.

Makes sense to me and I'm usually looking for unders in the A League.

Newcastle are playing really well, I'm not sure how it looks an average team on paper but they've been the better side in all their games for weeks now (which have all gone over bar the Phoenix). These two teams have produced plenty of goals playing each other in recent times plus I'm sure Newcastle are looking for a bit of revenge for round one.

I think a wet pitch will be fine for goals in this as Brisbane might make a few mistakes at the back and the wet pitch could help their passing game if they get it right (well be plenty of balls running through for goal kicks of course).
