Why would PLatini let France lose 2-0 in the first leg then?! Surely it would be a lot easier to of had them not lose 2-0!

Don't know but maybe because odd for France to qualify to Brazil was because of this much higher.
It is strange that such mistakes happened for the second time in game where France was in it...

Can't stand France, nor Platini, but have to take a lot of this with a pinch of salt.

Not really, firstly tht would of been very hard to call because benzema was clearly on side when the ball came back towards the goal, the only reason why he may be offside is because it thn comes off a player in 6 yard box but he is covered by 2 ukraine players so it would be very hard for a linesman to see if it had come off a france player, or come off a ukraine defender in which case it wouldnt be offside, or if it had jus gone straight through to him thn again he wouldnt be offside.

Secondly, 2 games is hardly a big sample size! So you are suggesting platini is betting on France to qualify at 2/1?!!! He purposely wanted france to lose by a couple in first game so tht he could get better odds on them to qualify?!!

True. In instances like this though, the linesman is to flag for offside, with the referee the one who determines who made the final touch, overruling it if it is indeed off a defender's body.

All happens so fast and I think a lot of officials need to be given a break. I've done it. It's a very, very hard job.
