Made 235k in btc I'm out of it now but I got audited twice because of tradehill and dwolla but came out clean. I'm now heavily involved in litecoin , cleaning up at it as well.

Litecoin is where its at imo.

Wanted to thank you for putting me onto this when the price was next to nicks.

    Smartest investment I ever made.

Thanks again Illini and good to see someone who is truly looking out for the player.

Its largely self regulated by users and some of those of the original bitcoin forum. Every transaction is visible to anyone with the blockchain.

There is no central authority here daimo

There are several other virtual currencies out there but none that's as adaptable as btc imo.

Make no mistake though, the bubble has begun but history tells us their can be quite a lengthy period between when ppl start talking about the bubble popping to when it actually bursts.

Looking at getting into mining but rigs aren't cheap.

Freshly mined coins also demand a premium

I only heard about it last December, within 2 days of studying it I became convinced it might be one of the best ideas I had ever heard.

Bought in at 17$ each for 2 grand, as I still viewed it as somewhat of a gamble. Good lord I wish I had bought in for more.

Can't be too hard on myself though, I'm looking at a 1400 percent return on investment, or something ridiculous like that. I think bitcoin is only getting started, this is going to be a wild ride over the next few months.

Hilarious. I bought at 140 and sold at 180 and now its back to 140, ridiculous.

I need to make a mental note to have money on VirtEx at all times. As soon as gox shits the bed and gets laggy all the newcomers start panic selling because "bitcoin is crashing" and 4 hours later the price stabilizes at a higher number after sharps buy it up.

    This is HILARIOUS.

I was idling in the IRC channel on freenode today, it hit 2000 users all panicking that bitcoin was crashing and panic selling.

    Unreal.

One lesson that is becoming more evident though,

    DO NOT USE MT GOX.

They cant seem to afford a server even though they are probably making tens of thousands a day.

It has only been halted on Mt Gox, its up and running everywhere else. I use VirtEx, so its fine.

This is a very good opportunity to make some crazy arb deals and buy up while it is "low".

I use quotation marks around the word "low" because it "crashed" from 250 to 123, but yet 2 weeks ago it was 70$.

I made a killing with bitcoin from the start and told some close friends of mine as well that made a lot more than I did. I knew it was a winner, I'm out and very very happy with my profits, and already made a killing off litecoin, you are welcome! I have another venture I'm getting into that's a winner as well, I'll let you know.

The exchanges are being subject to repeated Ddos attacks.

Apparently the hacker are investors who sell high, paralyze the exchange, wait for the price to plummet, and buy in again.

The joys deflation within a decentralized currency

STUPID FUKKERS... BITCOIN IS A FUKKING SCAM!!!

    http://www.collapsenet.com/free-reso...9Cpop%E2%80%9D

    Off the World News Desk:
    The Bitcoin Bubble Goes “POP!”
“After enjoying a week, or so of increasing value, Bitcoin took a huge dive today, explains why the "virtual currency" is not a currency at all, but more of a stock people have invested in to get rich. The coins started out at a high of $266 today, and have fallen to around $150, as this dramatic chart from Business Insider shows”
