pretty sure a clerk at a book scammed me.

i placed a $500 bet on cowboys and handed him bunch of $20s and $100. i wasnt paying attention while he counted as i was distracted. he then claims i shorted him. i grabbed the stack and recounted and indeed was short.

i was suspicious cause I had counted few mins prior to giving it to him
and was correct. but was in a hurry to grab the +4 so handed him the extra bill.

later I counted the cash in my wallet and I was short cause I knew the exact amount I brought. he had put the $100 bill aside and I believe he hid it under it.

had a feeling he was a scammer.. sounded like a sleezy nyer.

so should i confront this mofo or tell his supervisor? or just forget it?

the amount was just $20 so not a big deal cause i'm up 5 figures there but it's the principle and the fact he might be pulling the scam on others who aren't up as big.

was probably just a honest mistake flipping through the stack of twenties, one may've gotten stuck behind another, etc. seriously doubt the guy would try and skim a $20 of all bills and make a pocket gesture while on camera.

all you need to do is go back and ask the manager to have that guy's till reconciled. this happens at banks all the time and any differences are quickly found.

I think this was pretty shitty of you to do. You have no proof and didn't get a camera review but you are spreading around that he's a thief. So now people will be talking behind his back and if he didn't do it he can't confront his accuser or know what tape to have reviewed to clear his name. Don't get me wrong, there are some scumbags in Vegas, but you don't just start spreading stuff and ruin a person's reputation because you think you might have lost $20

There was a cashier on one of the gambling boats in Myrtle beach who overcounted some $100s when I was cashing in my chips at the end of the cruise, meaning she hand counted $1400 but voice counted the correct amount of $1500. I corrected her and was a little suspicious but didn't say anything. It happened again the next time I went out and I glared at her and curtly told her she was short a hundred again. I still didn't say anything but she didn't stay there for long, probably stealing from the boat too.
