Peyton Manning is 9-0-1 against the spread in his career as a three-point underdog. However, Matt Ryan is 26-4 SU in 30 regular season home games. The Broncos looked dominant in their win over the Steelers and the Falcons were actually outgained in their win over the Chiefs. The Chiefs had 3 turnovers in that game as well. I'm going to fade the Manning-Bronco hype and take the contrarian view based on my belief that a team is never as good as it's best game or as bad as it's worst. I actually think the roles will be reversed for the Broncos tonight and the Falcons will play much better defense and will be able to run the ball on the Denver defense and keep Manning on the sideline. I'm still not sold on the fact that Manning is 100% back. I think he will make a few mistakes tonight and I actually think he will be outplayed by Matt Ryan at home. Good luck guys!

I also just saw this:
If you faded the team that just played the Steelers between the years 07-09, you would be 33-12 ATS.
Last 2 yrs, if you fade teams off Steelers & line btwn 0 & +13 is 12-2 ATS.

I think there is some merit to that in the fact that the Steelers are a very physical team.

So I took your ATL -3 (-120) and hedged equal w/DEN +10.5 -120 live....hoping for a middle. Am I an idiot or does this make sense to anyone else? Major loss impossible and I believe a strong middle. Thoughts? Worked last week

Took a small taste on Kent ML. Thinking their D prevails, even against a relatively good UB O. Nothing major, so won't really be too worried if/when I'm dead wrong.

Got any early leans for Sat/Sun yet? Gonna be in stadiums both days and last few weeks have had trouble accessing sbr in a timely manner to get things in time when surrounded by 80k of my closest friends doing the same exact thing. Off to a hot start and looking to continue bashing the books with their own money

Kent State has outscored the opposition 24-0 through two games in the first quarter but haven't fared well as a road dog of late. Buffalo hung tough against Georgia. Thought it best to pass for now and see how it goes.
As far as this weekends games, I'm gonna post a few tonight and in the next day or two after I look over a few more things.

Sometimes I waste a unit or two just for a little action but I'm gonna try to do a little better this year on that. These units are too hard too build up to waste.

Thurs night NFL:
Carolina -2 1/2 -110 3 units

It's a short week for both teams, and with travel time, the advantage lies with the home team. I'm also not sure how much the NYG have in the tank after Sunday's comeback win. In that game, Ahmad Bradshaw, Domenik Hixon, Hakeem Nicks, and David Diehl were all injured and none will make the trip. The Giants will only have 4 WRs available that night and the offensive line has been shuffled around and this will most likely limit some of the things they can do offensively.
With the maturation of Cam Newton, the Panthers have gone 7-3 ATS in their last 10 home games. The Giants secondary has struggled this year. Cam Newton's scrambling ability should be able to buy him some time against the pass rush of the Giants and deliver some big plays down the field. This is a huge game for Carolina, they have not been in prime time games as of late and the crowd should be fired up a little extra for this one. Carolina is the much more healthy team coming off the short week. They are more balanced on offense, and they are playing at home on a Thursday night vs what has been an average regular season team.
