Seriously? They return 7 players from last season, they lost arguably their best 10 players, playing on the road against a powerhouse who has a top 10 D and a running game every player on the Boise squad has never seen.

The coach is returning. You really think Boise St. got to where they are because they have superior athletes? I'll take Petersen + a full offseason preparing for a game. I'm on BSU in a four team parlay for shyts and giggs. I'm not saying this is my play of the week or trying to make the case that Boise St. is going to win it outright. I'm just saying at a certain point you gotta look at BSU in this spot and not be shocked if they pull it off.

Honestly I do not see the incentive for anyone to post tickets. Alot of winning bettors have many outs, therefore their bets are spread across mutiple accounts/casinos/bookies, unless only one source offers the best price. Most big winning gamblers do not want attention or recognition. In fact, quite the contrary, they are slightly paranoid and would rather be left alone. Touts would be most likely to post tickets or brag incessantly.

You can generally read someone's analysis/thought processes and tell if they are a winning capper. Most likely they are just like the majority of people, mismanaging their bankrolls and betting all TV games for the sake of action.

This game will be won in the trenches, like most games . With 4 returning O line starters vs a D line with 1 returner, why won't St be able to move the ball some? MSU D is easily top 10 in the nation laden with future NFL players and all Big Ten members, they will likely score and enable the MSU O to score.

BSU's system works best with an NFL caliber QB and RB like they have had the past few years. Ask Mike Leach how his "System" worked out last night, that game turned out exactly like I posted in another thread, as well as the Vandy/under game. Do you realize the caliber of defense BSU is up against tonight?

They do start the season in fine form usually, a testament to their coach. Peterson, however, has said it feels odd this year. Basially saying that usually when players don't perform well in practice, he is relieved to know that the same player always shows up at gametime. But this year it is different with all the new faces he doesn't always have that feeling/confidence.

I think they have a year that they regress to the mean. It is impossible not to fall off after losing not only most of their starters, but most of their O production including 2 skill position players in the NFL.

Personally I have a typical bet on this game, nothing special, but I expect it to win around 60%+. Definitely could be wrong here, but East Lansing is a hostile environment(MSU undefeated there last year), and their top notch D at home should come out firing against a BSU offense full of inexperienced players trying to find their rythm.

Exactly... Petersen coached up 2 and 3 star players into NFL prospects. The guy is a genius, 6-0 in these opening games against top talent. BSU usually don't make a lot of mistakes and wait for other teams to shoot themselves in the foot. I love BSU first half as they seem to get out front in these games then have to hold off the better talented team in the 2nd half. I'm going with BSU first half then MSU second half.

youre absolutely right. jus fyi i took the points on this one with a small wager just to make things interesting while i watch the game. and boise's "unexperienced" qb did get plenty of play time last year: usually when teams were already blown out and moore was taken out of the game.

They don't need to march up and down the field, keep in mind that if MSU gets ahead early their defense will bury that BSU offense since Boise's QB will eventually be reduced to passing every down.

I teased it to -1 with the under in th tenn game 59... Also taking -71/2. Boise has never been strong but a decent team. Only thing that gave them a chance against bigger teams was their ability to throw down the field. They've lost their qb now... Playing against a top 10... Not really sure... Defense. Not a horrible strategy, as the physical strength and superior athletes of MSU will have a bigger advantage as the game develops. Clearly inferior teams such as BSU can sometimes run on adrenaline during the 1st half before their strength wears down and the inevitable ass kicking ensures.
