thats because they don't have the IQ to realize that the grainy SD feed from the zoomed in left field camera isn't capable of capturing a speeding white baseball against a yellow pole.

the ******* HD camera from behind the plate showed it fair.

Clearly it can't be BOTH foul and fair at the same time. So you go with the FAR superior camera view.

the closer the view the harder it is to "capture" the ball against the pole - both in picture quality AND in speed of the camera and the ability to discern the ball v's the pole. the FARTHER view is the one that makes more sense to judge by.

The reason that the Tigers are saying it was foul is because they don't understand this.
