If I owned a casino, I'd pay for a group of degenerate losers to come stay at my hotel/casino. No way they were charged 30 bucks a night.

I had a good time at the last 2 bashes. I got a promotion that I didnt see coming and wasn't sure I was taking.
I decided to take the position at the last minute. So much for semi retired life
I wrote Sam but only gave a weeks notice thats all I could give.

I was offered a new position Friday night. After thinking it over I am going to accept it Monday. This means I wont be attending the Bash this year. The last two have been a lot of fun. Hope this one is just as good hope to see you all next year have fun

I wasnt on the list....Sam works hard if you go to a Bash you will see that. If he made a couple of oversights oh well we all make mistakes he was just getting a point across. Hated to have to pull out on short notice but in my case it couldnt be helped. Thanks SBR hopefully in the future its less no shows

I had 4700 emails and PMs to go through after being away for 6 days. I don't do store orders and wasn't handling the bash so I can only imagine what Sam had. I'm assuming the 3 who did show up didn't pick up their badges Friday night. I know of at least one person who was there Fri and not Sat so I would guess it works both ways.

Posters, who generally speaking, are not super reliable, seeing as to many of them are degenerate gamblers and can not help themselves and some probably legitimately have a serious disease that has hurt their life far more than they've hurt SBR's pocketbook.

Sammy called me on july 7th telling me that I had until the 13th of july to confirm my attending status by either calling, PMing, or via email. I never got back to him.

Now admittedly, I should have gotten back to him but I left for Florida the day after so it got lost in the jumble of a hectic schedule I was working under at the time.

But after missing the deadline I figured I was removed. Guess I wasn't.

Others put in their $200 roll it over and cash out. SBR's not hurting for cash by any means but I guess it's just more about the principle of it. There were soooooooo many people pm'ing and emailing us in the weeks leading up to the Bash asking if they could come, even offering to pay their own room in some cases, or bring a guest, etc. And they were told no because numbers had been set for a certain amount.

Shit happens in life and I get that. Hell I have a kid and thought I'd be able to go the past two years and like 2mths before I had to pull out each time. It's just the non communication that sucks because someone else could've taken their place or we could've at least scaled things accordingly. I think next year we need to crack the whip. People who have attended before = benefit of the doubt. Those who want to attend for the first time = card deposit and face the loss of points to cover room/food/booze costs if they don't cancel within whatever period. Every vacation company, airline, car rental place, whatever has a policy like that. Seems fair to me.

You guys is a general term that refers to those people who know who they are as there was no way I was going to start sifting through threads again after double checking the list I made above. But they were the ones that kept asking for the list in here, called Sam a kitty, went to another thread to ask about it, etc. Not you Drinker. The whole thing is uncomfortable as it is.

But to those who did show and who let SBR know before hand that you wouldn't be coming, I'll make the apology and say I'm sorry you appeared on this list. For the rest of you who didn't make it: You were definitely missed by all. Just looking at those names there were so many posters I would've loved to have met. Hopefully next year!!!
