guy has the height and speed.
but he isn't as quick as other bigger sprinters in the first 10-40 yards..
but other sprinter's have made the switch, so why not?
anyone know what he earns in endorsements?Comment -

#7Why would Bolt even want to play in the NFL? Guy made 20M in endorsements earnings last year and will make even more after his 2nd gold in the 100m.Comment -

#8I'm not sure he could handle it, but man it sure would be fun to watch him try. He not only runs fast, he just seems to run strong too.
He does have the size, and obviously the ridiculous speed. With the proper couple years of NFL training, if he truly WANTED to do it, he would have a good chance to be successful. He couldn't walk in off the street right now and play though.Comment -

#10Well there you go, he wouldn't. NFL is a ridiculously dangerous sport. Personally I think a guy like Manning is nuts to come back. He's got plenty of money. Why put your neck on the line, pun intended?Comment -

#13His top end speed is what makes him the fastest in the world. His first step/first 20-40 yards (aka what matters for WRs) is nothing special compared to other sprinters. So I guess every olympic sprinter can play in the NFL? Too bad Gold Medalist sprinter Justin Gatlin couldnt come close to making a team when he tried out for the NFL.

yes Bob Hayes played a lil football in high school. He was a backup half back.
He was setting records in track though, and was winning national championships in track in college but never played football there.
He won a gold medal in 1964 and had his first NFL year in 1965Comment
