I'm saying there is a misconception here. I have met some kids in my class who are living in an apartment that costs 1500 and they are self supporting themselves most likely. It isn't impossible with the loans slotted to grad students with no further income/savings.

You seem to be a smart kid -- I highly doubt you would be living in a place like this on your own funds, paying whatever you pay per month in rent. That's just not good business without a "support" system if you know what I mean.

Nothing to be ashamed of. If I came from money, I'd suckle off the teet as long as possible too.
