Nothing will happen. Sure is a circus though. I've never seen an empire crumble so fast. 50 years of good will, erased in months. Good.

I think something will happen. Luckily it's summer, imagine the place today if it were middle or September

I think Penn State football is going to get shut down for a season, if not this season then next. Paterno and others have disgraced Penn State as an institution. Penn Staters still sticking up for Paterno are brainwashed.

Penn State should be proactive in punishing themselves.

You wouldn't be talking about Jay Paterno would you?

He's one of the brainwashed, but only one of many. It's almost more excusable for him because it's his father. You're supposed to stick up for family.

It's not a matter of rooting, facts are facts. So we should remember OJ Simpson for charity work that he did? If Paterno had survived, he'd have ended up a felon.

Because the 50 years of good is buried by the hundreds of years of bad.
10 children (that we know of) molested by Sandusky for 10 years.
That is 10 lives that have been destroyed in one way or another, then include all of their extended families.
That's hundreds of years.
If Penn State had one smart person, that statue would be in pieces in a dumpster by this weekend.

No death penalty for PSU.
Lots of sanctions. I would guess 5 years of probation (no bowls + reduction in scholarship)

Ive heard it's actually alot worse than the death penalty.......Just with no year long suspension
I heard: 5 years no bowl, loss of around 10 scholarships a year, no tv games for 3 years, most ticket sales donated to charities, and other penn st sports punished as well since it was a whole penn st issue
Basically Penn St as a top notch football program is done for.....Atleast for the next 20 years or so minimum

No elite recruits were going to PSU anyway. They were done as an elite program for the next 2 decades with or without NCAA action.

If enough people whine about that too, they'll cave. They are a broken university. Will bend to whatever public opinion wants from them.

My one question for the people following the Penn St case:
Yes, Sandusky is a sick fuq, a guy guilty of mis-conduct. He deserves his punishment. Q: are you CONVINCED that he fu-cked multiple kids?
I'm not. When public opinion deems a guy guilty, the avalanche takes off. Some % of these victims are in it for a $$-grab. I'm just not 100% sure Sandusky raped kids.

Taking the statue down was clearly the best thing. School should get a lot of sanctions but no death penalty.

Just let the kids leave without penalty and take away home games and you won't need the death penalty. Penn State would throw up its hand and quit.

why should the students suffer because of what adults did? The football team shouldnt be punished for the things sandusky did. Fire anyone who was around and allowed this to happen, but dont take away scholarships, and sports from kids who did nothing.

How many kids would be too many for you?

Entire teams lose out on bowl games/post season because of the actions of sometimes 1-2 players + some coaches.
Life isn't fair... but that is how it has to be.

Who cares, they could have the best coach in the world and they will still be terrible and not going to a bowl for 4 years is going to kill them as well as the scholarships that will be lost.

The suffering is created by continuing to be athletics at Penn State surrounded by all of this... I'm sure at this point letting them walk away without penalty is something most of them would welcome...

What felony charge exactly?
His actions (inactions) were reprehensible but there is no evidence that would have given rise to criminal charges.
