Little to no shot? How? Everyone has public education. If that student applies themselves, no matter how awful the public school they are in, they can succeed and do well on standardized testing. Then they're in college, where obviously they can make it with loans and applying themselves. Then they can go on and get a masters and make money hand over fist. Boom, life changed around. You act like it is impossible? Is it less likely when you grow up in a trailer or the projects? Yes... but largely because the motivation isn't there to change or be any less different than your parents or the people around you.

I also might add that being a minority will actually make it much easier for you to become rich. Instead of a 31 on the ACT to get into a college or get scholarships you need like a 24. Instead of a 170+ on the LSAT or whatever test you are taking to go further with your education, you just need an average one instead of an exceptional one to actually get where you want.

Many polls show, when asked, most US citizens want to repeal the ACA (Obamacare) but when asked about the individual parts of it they like most of them. The only part most people (60% dislike, 40% like) is the mandate/tax... whatever which is how most of the other parts are paid. As for Obama... I just think it is interesting... if he wasn't a black male, he might have never winded up at Columbia. He might never have winded up at Harvard Law. So that makes it interesting to me to see his records.

After going through the law school application process, I've seen URM (under represented minorities) get into a school like Harvard with a 155 LSAT (55% percentile) and I've seen white males declined from Harvard with a 177 LSAT (99%)

So yes, his college records are important information for some. Barack Obama might be an injury liability lawyer in Illinois right now if he was white.
