Reach doesn't matter. Mckenzie can't do anything on the feet and Mendes is the best wrestler in the division with great sub defense.

Mendes will probably be down to -700 by the time other books release the lines. I think he's pretty much a lock. I'll throw him in a couple parlays for sure.

But yeah, have to agree I think Mendes wins this 90% of time as ridiculous as it sounds! Pretty obvious that only way McKenzie wins is by guillotine which would normally make me say Mendes only wins 70-80% of the time (all very flimsy percentage predictions!), but the fact Mendes has faced far superior grapplers in Rani Yahya and Javier Vasquez (legit black-belts) and done just fine, and coupled with McKenzie getting outgrappled by Edwards and Vagner ROcha makes me very confident that Mendes isnt getting subbed. Moreover, the guillotine is the trademark "submission move" of Alpha Male...Faber, Benavidez, and Mendes all like to use it and all three have never been submitted in their careers. Mendes will hopefully not even look for the takedown...he can use this fight to show off his "improved stand-up" which isnt that bad. He got the better of Omigawa in their fight which had periods which were standing
