Backing off what? I said I would bet your original line and nothing else. Getting to make a 20c line after already having some information about what I think fair value is and then forcing me to bet one side almost has certainly -EV for me. And I don't make -EV bets unless they are +EG hedges, which this would not be and it certainly wouldn't be optimal. No amount of goading with convoluted logic is going to convince me otherwise.

I don't care if the vast majority of posters look up to me, although I do appreciate the input of a select few posters. I come here for information, such as the excellent posts of Ganchrow, and for utility.

You always say this but please show one example of me ever specifying how much I make from gambling or bragging about how much I bet. You won't find it because I never mention anything to do with that and almost all of my posts are either related to advantage gambling or correcting fallacious thinking.

You didn't beat shit. The fact is dj and others don't care what you and others WANT to hear. They post what others SHOULD be hearing. They can use dj's and others' info to make money for themselves or they can buy into your pathetic "feel sorry for me" garbage. Which do you think is more useful? The value is on Philly no matter how the Rays win the ALCS, IMO.

The lines will move with Philly until it is close to even. Tampa will go off a slight favorite because of home field. Philly has best Pitcher in Hamels and a sports obsessed city with a lot of bettors. Philly money could move the line. Tampa has only marginal interest and not a big betting area

I'd be more inclined to take the UNDER every game. Both of there teams had the best bullpen in their respective league this year, so that should minimize late tack-on runs.
