Perfect. Next weekend I'll drop my kids off with you and your girl. My wife & I can really use a "us" weekend. Please don't keep them up too late.........they tend to get a bit cranky. Thanks gates.

P.S. Don't let my 8 year old talk you in to playing hoops for money............his cross-over will fukk up your ankles.

My cousin is 8, he thought he was hot shit at playing hoops once...He tossed up a shot and I did the standard check him in the stomach with your hand. He made 1 got cocky and said that didn't faze me. Next shot, I put him in the hospital with cracked ribs.

Little fukker wont even look me in the eyes anymore.

I don't take losing to kids lightly...that's why I had a vasectomy at the age of 13, because I knew at that age I shouldn't have kids.

Need to win some money gambling if I want to move us somewhere else as my current job has dried up, so to speak. When I do move, I'll either move back to the U.S. (probably not) or near a beach in Mexico or I'll stay in Thailand, but I'll move to the jungles or some deserted beach. If I move to the U.S., I'll probably move to somewhere in the backwoods so I can be left the f*ck alone. I like my private time.
When I was in Ko Samui I saw expats running small hotels on the beach and figured that was a pretty decent retirement plan. USD is strong there as you know. Can you own a small business in Thailand if you aren't a citizen?

I'm sure it's changed but it used to be reasonable to live there (as long as your money's not being spent in the casino's). It's another place I've considering moving to but I'm not sure yet what I'm doing so I'm still "researching."
When we moved here the cost of living was ridiculously less expensive than the east coast. We moved originally so my wife could attend grad school (and back then it was like $30/credit hour, less than 1/10th the cost of a east coast masters program). I think we might pay a little more than average for gas & groceries but less for restaurants, entertainment and way less in property taxes. Rental properties can be a little pricey now but it's a great time to buy a home as there is a huge glut of property for sale. The summers can be brutal but all in all we love living here. Hope that helps.

The US$ isn't strong here any more, in fact when I came here it was nearly 55 baht to the dollar, way up from the long time standard of 25 - dollar. Now it's about 32 to the dollar. In some cases Thailand is cheaper than in the west, like with food and prostitute pussy however things like paper products, cable, electricity, etc. can run quite a bit higher.

The general rule is if you own a business you need to show X amount of dollars in the bank, something like $200K (I haven't looked recently but it used to be $50K) or you can split the business with a Thai and they're the majority shareholder. I would definitely not recommend this ever.

Ko Samui and Phuket = Tourist trap, although both have some nice places. I prefer to go to places like you saw in the movie The Beach, albeit without the back packer types.

Pattaya = Shit hole / Seriously, if you want some dirty, skanky hos, this is the place to find them. Pattaya isn't known as the world's sin city for nothing. Once in a while you can find a gem but there are less and less of them.

Chiang Mai and Kanchanaburi = Back packers haven/Lots of smelly, non-showering mutha fukkas and women with hairy arm pits that could double as a their beaver Remember this phrase: Thailand is a great place to visit. Living here is an entirely different matter though, believe me. There's a saying here, "They want our money but they don't want us," referring to the Thais desire to strip our pockets clean while we're still aloft in our arriving aircraft. Generally speaking, this is true.

                          The good things about Thailand:

                          1) The women - they're small, tight, extremely horny for the big one and not shy, generally do not sleep around so they're clean, and although some are mercenaries, it's easy to always have sweet, willing to please women banging on your door at 3AM every night. I dare say also that they tend to be cleaner than most women in the west in the vaginal area as they're always showering and keeping that little piece of furry Astroturf smelling like Orchids. Not once have I come across a foul-smelling Thai women. Despite what many may believe, there are a good number of Thai women who could care less about your money. They just want a friendly foreigner slamming their body against them so they can see your white skin up against their brown skin. Looks good going in and out I guess.

                          2) The food is delicious and cheap and you can find something at any time, day or night.

                          3) Nobody generally messes with you unless you mouth off. So it's usually safe. But this is changing and in the past few years more and more foreigners never make it home.

                          4) Thais smile alot. While this may be genuine at times, wouldn't you smile if you just sold three pieces of chicken for $15 when a local is buying them for $3?

Thanks. Seems like the same everywhere nowadays-prices are always going up. When I first came to Thailand I could get a bungalow on a beautiful unspoiled beach for $4-5 a night and a girl to stay there with me for a week for about $125. Two girls who would cook, clean, massage you, take care of your sexual perversions (lesbo too), and fold your clothes. A night with them would cost you taxi money, about $20. Those were the good old days. I wonder if there's anywhere else on earth left like that now.

I hadn't been in FL for many, many years until I went back a few months ago. I went in to a grocery store with my girlfriend and was looking for something, can't remember what it was now. Anyhow, I saw a lady behind the cold cuts section and asked her if she knew where the item was that I was looking for. She told me, "I no English." I got slightly pissed and said, "Speak fukkin English, we're in America!" My girlfriend then told me, "Don't you know that we're in Florida and there are alot of places that the staff doesn't speak English?" So I left and never did get what I wanted. I refuse to be forced in to speak Spanish in America, where English is the first language. This sort of shite is the sort of stuff that makes me not want to live in America. Then I think of legalized marijuana and my stances softens a little.
