We are always in the Top 10 in unemployment, crime, some of the worst roads and schools, city and state run by democrats for decades. Also a new development we are now in the Top 10 in venereal diseases. I don't hold the politicians responsible for that though. Summers are hot and humid and winters are about 6 months long. Only thing keeping me here is my job. I am out of here the first chance I get. I will be going west.

I don't have to worry about California earthquakes, Florida hurricanes and tornados that occur mostly on states near the mississippi river. My city is too far from the forests to worry about forest fires.

Too funny, i just read all of these and was about inform people about rockford,il where I am from and currently reside as well.I guess you beat me to it. I enjoy the bars here. I will be headers to shooters to bet some horses and play some pull tabs tonight. maybe gamblers think a like. A job is what keeps me here and I plan to move to galena but also have aspiration of a life on the west coast again!

From the U.S. of A. but have been living in Bangcock for close to 20 years. Been all over the world, done all sorts of jobs, and I'm now getting close to being ready to settle down with the family. Need to win some money gambling if I want to move us somewhere else as my current job has dried up, so to speak. When I do move, I'll either move back to the U.S. (probably not) or near a beach in Mexico or I'll stay in Thailand, but I'll move to the jungles or some deserted beach. Chipper what's the cost of living like there now? I've been to Vegas many times and I had a friend who lived there about 30 years ago. I'm sure it's changed but it used to be reasonable to live there (as long as your money's not being spent in the casino's). It's another place I've considering moving to but I'm not sure yet what I'm doing so I'm still "researching."
