i do remember an easy home stretch last year at the beginning of august when the bottom fell out for lack of a better word, but i really feel like this team is much better this season and it wont happen again.

They didn't look anything like this years team. Enjoy the game, what a great stadium.

yeah, lasdty year they got two bats.

it didnt help becasue thir pitching stop over achieving and everyone hurt their arms wracking up so many injuries so fast.

I think they will be aggressively trying to upgrade at SS, 1B, C and maybe another starter. Not a ton of players out there this year though...

at intertops which is prob not as accurate as the real market, they have +2500 for the Pirates to Win the WS and +1600 to make it to the world series.

I think last year's swoon started the day I left for vacation... around July 30

this year I leave for vacation on thursday july 27.

I fully expect them to only win 2-3 times whil i'm gone for 3 weeks...
