Nash's rule: Don't sweat the bet.

Well, I'll be, a game that played out on the field the way it did on paper before the game was played on the field.

Vogelsong sharp, as he proves again he's one of the best starting pitcher in his own park.
Arizona still really can't hit Vogelsong.

Those who tailed, glad to help.
Those who faded, shake it off, get it back today.

You can use whatever info you want to help you make your picks. If it works for you, it works. I do look at the bat vs pitcher history but I keep in mind that it is the past and doesn't weigh heavily on what will happen in the future. Again if it is working for him, then he can do whatever he wants. Technically no statistics/info out there can fully determine the outcome of a game. With that said, I would be a little nervous betting on the Giants, Linnecum has been sucking balls and has an injury issue with his hand having blisters or something like that. I am not sure why he would "due" necessarily.

Two things, I'm not using Lincecum tonight, not until he shows me back to back 2 solid innings.
Also, the batter v. pitcher stats I use is not the be all end all to my final decision before I post a game here, however it gives me feel.
If a power has 7 homers in the past 3 years off a particular starter, well, the trend there is the hitter is comfortable facing that pitcher.
Now, the pitcher the next time he faces that hitter will probably be careful with said hitter, could result in a walk as he pitches around him, walk = on base runner, on base runners score runs.....

Am I making sense here or am I rambling.

giants are a team to watch. the lineup is underated and with sandoval coming back soon they could be dangerous.if lincecum gets his act together they can roll because that would leave zito as the only problemtic starter and the bullpen has been solid lately as well. i am sitting out tonight although my gut feeling is that timmy will pitch well and they will roll again

My gut says Timmah steps up too.
My wallet and gut don't get along, watch and see for me.
