So.......when USC torched a Brad Banks led Iowa team (who was ranked #3 in the nation) in the Orange Bowl 38-17......it was just luck. A few years back....when USC went in to horseshoe and beat the Buckeyes........with SC starting a freshman QB......it was just luck. Face it Picker.....USC dominates the midwest in football. Throw Notre Dame into the mix and it's an absolute embarrassment for the midwest.

Dodgers wont win a World Series in my lifetime, Lakers are in their final last gasp of relevance, Clippers are cursed, and no one cares about hockey. Ducks won stanley cup a couple years ago and no one even remembers.

But considering the source of the topic I am surprised the LA Galaxy and their MLS Cup win werent mentioned either.

The thing about LA and so cal in particular is no one really cares about sports here, unless its for a status thing or to sell tickets to Mexicans for three times face value for a vast majority of the games, and only show up for the cameras. When I go to Staples and Dodger Stadium and the Big A I am sitting in seats owned by season ticket holders who dont bother going most of the time. People in the surrounding seats are also not the ticket holders most of the time. Although Clipper people did go quite a bit this year. I went to 12 or 14 games and they did show up, and they were all there for the one play off game I went to earlier. I went to 3 Lakers home games and not a single person in the seats around where I was owned them, not sure about the play offs, probably since they might be seen on camera.

LA is a fake town and as front running as you can get, thats why there has never been any serious effort to get an NFL team back here, people dont give a shit. Once lakers really go in the tank and Kobe retires you will see that for sure. Hell once they get eliminated from the play offs this year and they will get crucified. Thats just the way this place is.
