    And Pens fans are still talking shit. The Devils were the better team this series but remember that the Flyers filling killed your dreams in 6 games.

      He had a temper tantrum because ref blew a call. He had malicious intent and the puck wasn't even with the victim any longer when the player was hit by Claude.
      Seriously...it went like this.

      1. Giroux gets upset about call and starts bitching at ref.
      2. Giroux turns his back to the play because it's clearly more beneficial to yell at the ref.
      3. Giroux sees there is a turnover and sees an opportunity to take out his frustration.
      4. The puck leaves and as a result the play slows, so Giroux has to cut back to make the hit, resulting in a shoulder to head collision.

      If he hadn't had a temper tantrum 10 seconds prior I don't think he would have gotten the suspension, because without that there wouldn't have been the clear intent.
