I read a few of "her" articles/picks on ESPN. They were alright.

This article is definitely worth reading, a girl goes on covers starts posting, then starts writing articles for covers and gets a job with espn?

Whats really amazing to me is Covers is actually the subject of a story on a Gawker media site like Deadspin. Pretty impressive for basically hiring a girl (im)poster to write some articles. Deadspin is one of the most popular sports web sites in the world.

It seems like this Phillips girl went away from talking about gambling right when she got hired by espn and went into more mainstream sports and entertainment type articles when she went with espn, though it does seem she was just fired from espn .

Even thought his whole Sarah philips escapade is sort of sleazy, it did get covers a full article on Deadspin, it shows you how smart SBR was to hire Shari and Blondie. Women are such a rarity in the sports, poker and the gambling world in general, that they just naturally draw viewers and people to the site.

Sbr should be mentioned on sites like Deadspin, they need to get Peter doing more pieces on costa rica , more articles and tv shows , become more of a gambling/lifestyle portal like askmen and maxim but alot better. This whole Sarah Phillips thing just shows you how important women are to a site and how much attention it can bring, this girl was not even really a very good gambler or knowledgable about the industry from reading her articles. Maybe JJ can find Gambling granny and get her posting if she is still cognizant of whats going on around her, women sell.

It is amazing covers is on deadspin even though this whole article makes it sound like she was running some sort of extortion racket on this guy with the nba site. He lost his whole site and was sending her money to protect himself, Sarah Phillips was threatening to have him arrested for giving her losing picks.

Cliff Notes:

Sarah Phillips gambled a lot, wrote articles at Covers.com, and was hired to do freelance articles at ESPN.

Pictures of Phillips were insanely inconsistent during her rise to fame making people wonder if she was who she said she was.

Phillips scammed and threatened a guy who gave her several thousand dollars on Covers.com for "adspace".

Some Prashad guy seems to be dating/living with Phillips and scammed a kid out of his NBA Meme's Facebook page and now use it to route people to Prashad/Phillips's website.

Phillips was fired by ESPN today.

That persona owes us restitution Giant. She was the demise of many a poster there who questioned that sites need to insult our intelligence regarding the wagering world. The fuel she put on the fires she started burned a lot of good relationships developed over the years.

I posted there for almost 9 years and got to know may guys there on a personal level. I was one of the may who paid either directly or indirectly for the ill will she created. Having lost all respect for that site I felt no need to continue and ended it my way. Shame it had to be like that.

Covers loss is this site's gain though. Quite a few of those guys are showing up here of late and are quickly growing to like what this site has to offer.

I just read her twitter, seems like she is really a chick and judging from her twits she is claiming she just got in with the wrong people. I cant believe she is only 22 years old, covers hit pay dirt letting her work for them. All this brouhaha gave Covers coverage on deadspin, ny daily news,, huffington post, bleacher report, etc.

I want to hear more about the threats to send the police out to that guys house for giving losing picks, this may really set a legal precedent in the gambling forum world. LOL

so the story is, some indian fukktard banged a blonde at oregon state... visited covers one day and decided to use an image of her as a hot gambling chick to become famous, get traffic to his projects and eventually scam people out of their money... she looks like she might be a real person but has nothing to do to gambling, sports knowledge, humor websites, etc... her indian fukk partner is behind everything related to Sarah Phillips name...

All the pictures are likely of her, although it's questionably why she would have used other girl's pictures a couple times if she's actually already a hot chick herself. However, all the articles on Covers and ESPN were actually written under her name and image by a guy named Nilesh Prasad. If you want proof of this, just refer to one of the most tried and true rules of sports betting: "A hot girl who is very knowledgable about sports betting but who never makes a video is a guy."

There's nothing too scandalous about this whole thing except that she was able to con thousands of dollars out of some dummy on the Covers forums and steal some kid's NBA Memes Facebook page. The real scandal will be if it turns out that either Covers or ESPN were aware that she wasn't who she claimed to be but went along with it anyway.

The pics weren't her. At least not the blonde ones. It's some girl named Ivy that went to high school with that Indian guy. That's why the blonde in the pics looks nothing like the chick in the video or the brunette pics. If you read the comments in one of the articles - I think maybe the 2nd Deadspin one - you'll see them mention it.

Crazy thing is that there were SBR posters that were convinced I was this sleazeball when 'she' was posting at Covers because females at gambling forums were so rare and I was writing a lot about sports on here at the time. Asswipes like this is what makes actual women intimidated to post.
