Here's the thing about Zimmerman's whole defense:

If someone is on top of you and smashing your head into the pavement with his fist, you have no chance (you also would have trauma on your face, unless your attacker had a weird fetish to grab your nose and just rub the back of your head against the sidewalk?). If you even had the coordination/presence of mind in this concussion-causing event, you would be immediately disarmed. The guy is on your chest, pounding your face in...

If someone feels threatened in any way and life is in danger they have the right to defend themselves. Stand your ground state. Beating your enemy to death even if they are weaponless doesn't matter. An incident occured recently in Florida where an old man (60 something) whacked a (20 something) to death with an ice pick at an intersection.
