Looking for advice for Las Vegas vs. Reno

I am debating about going to Vegas or Reno for my birthday. I was curious what the pros and cons to each place is? It looks as though I can go to Reno for cheaper, but is it any fun? LOL. TIA

Dont bother with Reno. It's like a smaller version of downtown Las Vegas.

Have you ever been to Las Vegas? If not Reno shouldn't even be considered...

Ah, Ok. I have never been there so was just curious. I would figure downtown Las Vegas would be the strip?

Never been. I was trying to read stuff about articles about both online to make a decision. Ultimately, I do not really play slots or anything like that. The only real thing that I'm interested in is the sportsbooks. Does anyone have a recommendation of the best sportsbooks (best lines) and stuff like that? I know that I can do the sportsbooks from home and all, but I want to actually checkout a casino city and enjoy the shows as well.

Do you like skiing or mountain settings? Lake Tahoe is a short drive from Reno. That is the only thing Reno has over Vegas.

Downtown Las Vegas is not considered "The Strip"....Las Vegas Blvd is.
