i don't see myself laying such a big number on opening day, Marlins are a changed team, but who knows what they are capable of right now. Cardinals and the juicy +number seems like the better play, they did add Beltran

shit didnt realize miami was at home. still a very high price for opening day game where guys are still getting their timing hitting wise and a run could decide the game. Lohse has been terrific under Duncan when healthy

Johnson coming off injury issues. Not much of a starting pitcher advantage on opening day. I think marlins are slightly better maybe 3%. add 5% for homefield and they win 58% of the time. I came up with -150/+150 earlier, on phone now though. Would make a wager on cards ml at 160 or better. Total is 7 so dog is a good bet if its just slightly mispriced

Theres no doubt that STL at that price is the +EV play and one hell of a tasty vagina. The only problem is that does not mean they win tomorrow night necessarily.

Johnson is a beast and this is a new and improved Marlins squad Christening their new ballpark against a guy who is not a #1 starter. (Lohse).

Marlins have been a helluva franchise since they joined MLB (winning 2 WS already) and they may be a good team this year again now that they have a new park. The cardinals may start slow... No Pujols and Matheny the new manager.

Thats some rancid juice at -172 so I think Im gonna roll with Marlin -1 at -120. I'll post my play in my MLB thread tmrw but thats what Im leaning despite my gut screaming at me to take STL at the plus number. Gonna more than likely ignore the gut here.
