#44I'd open up a few bars and nightclubs. Even if they weren't profitable, I wouldn't be in the red anywhere close to the 10M+ I'd earn in interest from my money anyway. Free jobs for a couple hundred people, give a ton to diabetes research, so I'd have done my good deeds. Build a house with an outside, second story hot tub overlooking a basketball and sand volleyball court. To top it off, I'd find a select few people from my past and shove my wealth down their throats. That would probably make me feel the best.Comment -

#51Estimated up to $500million, cash out around $350milllion. After taxes, the NET will be approximately $250million. A quarter of a billion dollars.
I've been thinking about what I'm gonna do if I win and these are a few of the things.
1.) Donate to Obamas campaign for re-election
2.) Donate to Trayvons momma so she can afford to get a decent lawyer
3.) Buy season tickets to the Knicks games, courtside of course
4.) Buy a few hundred acres of land somewhere and build about a 5,000 sqft home. Probably somewhere in the Caribbean.
5.) Buy a loft in NYC overlooking Central Park
6.) Go pro for the perks
7.) Start up a few businesses. Probably a home security business and a car dealership and a donut shop
8.) Buy 1000 lottery tickets for the next lottery
9.) Split it 50/50 with my wife and sign a pre-nup
I bet some of you sick fukks would go broke in a yearbut have fun doing it.
Read a news story that said 9 in 10 lottery winners have spent all their winning in 5 years (lump sum option).Comment -

#54I think I'd take the annuity payments over 26 years. I'm young and don't plan on dying in the next 26 years. I'm not sure how the payments work but if they're 26 equal payments that would be around $21 million/year. Everything from year 19 on would be money that would have been otherwise lost by taking the lump sum. That ain't chump change.Comment -

#65A lot of them do, same with people that get inheritances from their families. If they are dumb, uneducated and have no financial structure or common sense they usually blow it in 4-6 years....I am basing this on someone that is left 2-3 million and just starts blowing money and acting like irrational with the money. You have to be smart JJ. With my inheritance, I bough things but I have a big chunk where I just receive the interest, I never have to touch the principle whatsoever...Growing up in Santa Barbara, I have seen it all... some of the richest kids I know that were left tens of millions blew it all and others with a lot less that had a good head on their shoulders are still rolling today... You just can't be a dumbfuk... realize what you have and be thankful!המוסד

there was a study done , saying its better to take the lump sum.. for the fact that you can invest it and live off the interest
thing about the interest on 100 million... 2 or 3 % a year depending on where you put itComment -
