I'm for the most part a Libertarian and its hard for me to get up and go vote for someone who in congress voted against abortion rights, voted no for alternative sentencing in place of building more prisons, voted for the patriot act, blocked Initiative 59 and has an ammendment named after him that would increase penalties for marijuana, and authored the defense of marriage act. Its ok to flip on a couple of issues as you learn more about them, but this much? Come on.
I'm voting for Bob Barr

#72Barr's a good choice.
Or Nader.
Different "ideologies?" Sure, but ideology no longer matters.
And when an American Caesar appears (my guess between 2020-35) it will mean even less.
Ron Paul let a lot of people down by not making a run. He seems to have put loyalty to the GOP above an obligation to his supporters and to the countryComment -

#73Ron Paul didnt do anything wrong in my mind. He gave a good effort at the nomination and when it became clear he wasnt going to win he had two options.
1. Run as a third party candidate with no chance of winning
2. Run for re election and continue to at least have some voice in Washington.
I'm glad he took number 2.Comment
