And that matters because? As long as he steals bases like a robber and improves his plate discipline slightly IQ doesn't matter. See the ball, hit the ball. You can't teach getting the barrel on the ball like he does...

It matters because in case you didnt notice the dodgers cant afford many mistakes in the playoffs... and kemps bad base running,swinging at ball 4, late getting reads on fly balls ass can kill them. Now if you dont understand that i question your baseball I.Q. good day

It helps a lot to maximize potential. Guys who don't have high baseball IQ, but are talented tend to be eternal underachievers, look at Adrian Beltre.

seriously anybody who played baseball in high school knows how to run the bases and the base runners rules of baseball. He'll they taught us that in travelling ball when i was 12

Yep, but there are exceptions, sometimes guys who are extremely talented get by on talent alone, and never bother to learn the right way to do things. And if they have a bad attitude (don't know about Kemp), they don't like to take advice when they are wrong, and coaches know they cannot piss off the star player. Not saying this is true about Kemp, just speculating.

I edited that because i've seen some bad high school base running... I kind of wish Mike Scioscia would have ended up with the dodgers they have talent but they dont know how to play the game ... I hear you Element1286 maybe that is the case i know mike would have pulled him to the side rarely do you see the Halos making mistakes like kemp.
