Today was the last day. I quit poker yesterday and sports today. feels fuckin great, like im relieved of something. I always thought that poker and sports would lead to riches but its only lead to debt and despair.

I realized, after trying 20 times that quitting is not a fun option. So, now I just limit myslf at times and try not to make ridiculous long shot wagers. As Paul Newman said in Color of Money- "I almost forgot how Winning money is twice sweeter than earning money." I second that notion!!!

Your goal was fukked. Gambling isn't going to lead to riches. If you do it as your main source of income, you work more than a normal 40 hr per week job.

Gambling is recreational and should be considered as such by the masses. Only a few pro's make decent money on it, and the people making the most money are touts, who are bad cappers, but feed off the morons who think there are riches in gambling.

I'm starting to think more like this.
If you are involved everyday, but can stay away from placing bets everyday or even every week you will most likely do well if you are disciplined. This is easier said than done. If you are not extremely intelligent or have very good information or work very hard at this shiz the everyday grind will probably not be possible. Look for spots.
