dante, i had no idea this was your woman. well,i can bet that it's not just at home. how about when you go out, do you carry a pager or a phone and do you check scores every 2 min.. that must bug the crap out of her too, cause she is talking to you and you start to check your scores and you are no longer listening to her.. you are focused on your games.. and when she wants to go out for supper, and you have 2 tv games, no way you wanna go out huh? so you stay home and ruin her life.. OR how about when she wants to go to bed with you, but the late game is still on and you want to watch it, so she has to go to bed alone. Or how about when you are getting killed one night and losing your shirt, and then she wants to go out after, no way you are going cause you are too depressed to leave house and you are thinking of how you will win this money back tmorrow.

Holly she went through hell at first, but in the long run she made me a better person and gambler. I had no value for money no BRM nothing what so ever. I can say today Im 100% better person because of her, win or lose I still enjoy my day, win or lose I still treat her exactly the same. Before I would block out everything in my life if i loss and if i won I would be fine. Trust me it takes time an d will, but it takes 2 people to make it work!

Holly, I completely understand what you did/are going through with Dante. I was there not so long ago. At some point I was even paying my husbands rent when we were dating. He lied to me and said my friend needs money for this/ that blah blah. Later on I slowly found out he gambled and wasnt smart at all with his money that he couldnt even pay his rent. This did make me re-think our relationship.

I was going to break it off but decided to stay in it for a little longer until he payed me the money he owed me which i have to say was a really big amount. By doing this i feel more and more in love with him as well. To make the story short, we both talked ALOT and both decided to give in a little. I showed him that what he was doing in his life with gambling was a stupid way of doing it because he couldnt even pay necesities of life like rent etc. because he kept loosing all of it on gambling. I straight up told him as well I dont want him to stop doing it either because I know its something he REALLY enjoyed and i would never make him quit anything that he was interested in. But i also made it clear that if he wanted to continue our relationship he would need to change the way he gambled in a smart way.

Now he is doing 99.9 % better. He has changed alot and continues changing for the better. We got married and we got a bank account together therefore we both share things equally even though one of us makes more than the other. Now even if he spends a cent on gambling I know exactly what he is doing with our money. This I feel has helped alot as well because he knows that I know exactly how much and how often he gambles. I also know all his passwords for emails, online gambling sites etc. He also knows mine and there is nothing for either of us to hide from now on.

We both trust each other. If he is going to place a bet he now discusses it with me before placing any bet to make sure I agree with the amount or give him my input of the game ( I have become a better sport better than him, but he did teach me all I know about it as well) I use to be 100 % against gambling but slowly got around it and decided to take interest in it because i know my hubby enjoys it and this allows me to spend even more quality time with him wether its doing research, watching a game, playing poker, etc. But he has also changed alot to te point where I can say lets go get dinner and even if he has money on a game or at the end of watching a game etc. he goes out without being anxious to know the score etc.

We go out pretty often to be honest with you and it might be more than a day since he would be able to find out the scores but he is never frustrated about this or anything anymore. Before it was hard to drag him away from the tv or computer but now even this is not a problem whatsoever. But like he said it takes 2 to make things work. I agree...I'm married and my wife hates me gambling in front of the TV and computer all night almost seven days a week...I enjoy it though but I do need to pay more attention to her since Ive only been married a year...Nicky described me to the tee...hey I dont cheat or do drugs and stay ouy all night so I'm not that bad...

If the morons starting these threads put all their energy in capping games instead of trying to make a living at 5c/post they would be succesful now. Some people prefer to make a thousand posts to make $100. The wise ones cap games for $100 a game.
