That's because we have a common bond of freedom and language. Both countries also place a very similar value on things like talk is cheap and the difference between right and wrong.

Surely all arguments/disagreemants/fundamental idealogical & political discussions are because people choose to beileve who they want to beileve and as long as two people have different views there will be debate. Everyone decides to beileve what they want to beileve, from fantatical muslims to Rusty from Arkansas, that's why these arguments/discussions are pointless, the best that reasonable and objective people can hope for is their view is respected in the same way as they respect the right of others to have a view.

The other reason I dont want to get into arguments with you is because you usually win, I know my limitations, hit me up when you want to argue about cricket.

People are able to change views and have wider understanding of things. Political arguments can be uncomfortable, because they can challenge some long standing beliefs. But that shouldn't stop us from trying to get a clearer picture of how the world works and what we should be doing.
With regards to Iraq I doubt that anyone in a serious position in US govt believed
any of the bs stories about weapons or being a threat. They invented them.
