    The NeverEnding Thread...
I started a thead like this a few years ago and always wanted to do this for fun. So I decided to do this with my SBR points and give it a go. Lets see what happens.

I am going to place progressive bets until I reach my goal of 10,000 points. I have looked at all my picks over the past couple years and noticed I never have had more than 6 losses in a row. After I win the 10,000 points I may keep going depending on how much of a hassle this thread is.

I will start with placing bets on the NBA & NCAAB, then roll into baseball, football, etc.. I am going to set aside 9,000 SBR points. The bets will be placed with a standard -110 vig and may vary depending on the situation. For the most part I will try and keep it at -110 just for the simplicity of it. I will try and place atleast one bet a day and sometimes more. Obviously due to start times it may be hard to place more than 1 bet a day but it will happen.

My goal is to make 50 points per win. If I lose, I will chase that loss until I lose my bankroll- HOPEFULLY THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN!! I will also keep tabs of the percentages of the picks just to see where I would stand.

SOMETHING LIKE THIS WILL HAPPEN IF I LOSE 7 IN A ROW

    1ST BET 55 POINTS TO WIN 50

    2..........110..........LOST 165
    3..........236..........LOST 401
    4..........496..........LOST 897
    5..........1042........LOST 1939
    6..........2187........LOST 4126
    7..........4593........LOST 8719
    GAME OVER!!!

EVERY BET I AM ONLY TRYING TO WIN 50 POINTS

I am not claiming to be an unbelievably great capper, I am just trying to avoid losing 7 losses in a row. I must first give credit to the people that originally came up with this idea. I have seen a few methods very similar to this and decided why not give it a try? Also since the SBR Sportsbook has point limits there will be times during bets 5-7 that I will need a few runners. I am fully aware of the probabilites of losing 7 bets in a row so save yourself the time. Here are is a great probability calculator SBR has provided http://www.sbrforum.com/betting-tool...ak-calculator/. So to reach my goal of 10,000 points I would have to win 200 bets x 50 points = 10,000. Lets say I am handicapping at a rate of 55% which would make my loss rate 45%. Hypothetically if it took me a progressive series of 500 wagers to win 200 assuming I am at a 45% loss rate, the possibility of me losing 7 bets in a row would be 64.325%. I am ready to face this challenge.

    Lets get it!

JUst because you are a small fav to get to get to 10,000 before 0 when starting at 9,000 doesn't make this a good proposition. You are risking 9-1 on this (being that you lose 9000 or clear 1000 if you reach your goal) so you are going to accomplish this more times than not so its a pointless test really. Just save your time and lay -900 on something tonight and give yourself close to a 90% chance of flipping 9000 into 10000.

No shit Sherlock, can you read? "I am fully aware of the probabilites of losing 7 bets in a row so save yourself the time." Maybe reading comprehension isn't your best attribute.

he is trying to win 10,000 not 1,000.

if he can double up his bankroll by hitting less than 50% then it is worth his time.

not the brightest strategy in the world, and he admits this, but its an idea that can be accomplished if he gets lucky.

OK, so you really are a complete fukin idiot. Obviously you are a favorite to get to 10k before going to 0 when you start at 9k. You are laying 9-1 you fukin dipshit. All threads like this do is fool the peanut gallery into believing that this is actually a way to earn money when instead it is only a clear way to go broke.

OK misunderstood his goal. However, it is still 100% garbage and only fools the sheep into thinking something like this is a good betting strategy when in reality it is 100% pure shit.

Touche, when I'm wrong I'm wrong. I misunderstood but I still don't understand why you would even want to do this especially with your admitted knowledge of how you are sure it's a losing system. Just seems like a big waste of time that could actually fool some of the less knowledgeable guys here that this is actually something worth trying. To each his own I guess.

So basically it is the Martingale Theory?

Has proven to be profitable over the long run.. but with betting limits, I don't know if it is very probable.
