Keep in mind it's relatively easy to do well in the first could of weeks, when conference play hits and good teams start playing eachother, thats when it gets tough

Trust me man, no one in the world is beating me up worse than I'm beating up myself over this. Fvcking idiot mistake. As if it isn't bad enough to just overlook this, broadcasting it and having your dumb mistake seen by 1600 people you are trying to gain a rapport with AND being 6 - 4 instead of 6 - 3, trust me, I know. I'm sure you've missed a key injury or something at some point in your handicapping career. It happens to all of us.

One mistake aside, I do my homework on these games. That may or may not translate to big wins this year, but I think getting a 2nd or 3rd or 4th opinion on a game you like or dislike never hurts. No one here is saying they will be betting my picks blindly; they just may want my take on a game or two. Really don't see what the issue is; it isn't like they have to agree with everything I say.

So funny, I was thinking of bringing that up that they burned me last year...

Thing was, I (along with many others) were unaware in week 2 that a healthy Oregon was the best team in the country last year.

My friend still gives me shit about that... I said something like "Oregon has no idea what they are getting themselves into" or something.

Not too mention my buddy from highschool plays for Oregon (Jaison Williams, WR) and wrote me after the game saying "nice pick".

I'm hoping Miami of Ohio isn't hiding a Dennis Dixon/Jonathan Stewart spread option attack that I'm unaware of!

The South Carolina game is really going to come down to how good Miami of Ohio is? Obviously I don't think much of them as I'm picking against Vandy and against Miami Ohio this week, but if that team is actually pretty good, Vandy's win is more impressive. Plus Vandy can show up against anyone. Don't like that you had to give up the extra point (11 instead of 10), but I believe South Carolina's defense will contain Vandy just fine and they will win this game by two scores.

South Florida I love, again don't like that extra .5 you gave up, but hopefully it won't hurt you.

BC and Georgia Tech I need to see in action a few times before I can really give an opinion on that pick. Both had wholes to fill on offense and Georgia Tech brought in the Navy offense which could be interesting. Don't really have an opinion on that game but good luck to you.

Cincinnati +22, you are a braver man then I am. Love Cinci's team and considering they are generally underrated and Oklahoma is universally loved for their offense, you know you are getting a pretty good line. That said, losing Mauk hurts, and I couldn't pull the trigger on picking against Oklahoma until I see them show some vulnerability. They have the firepower to score on every possession and if this turns into a shootout like they want it to, Cinci will not be able to keep up.

Gave USC's offense way too much credit, and would never have expected their defense to just roll over like they did in the 2nd half... sad state of affairs.

But its still too early in the year so the question hasn't been answered; is Zona's defense good, or was that just Idaho's inability to move the football PLUS changing the gameplan down big? Toledo might come out shaky but they have a great offense so if Zona's defense is a mirage, 22 points may be too many. Flip side though, Toledo might be outmatched here. Too early for me to tell, but since I don't have anything riding on it I'll root on Zona for you
