Again, I wasnt trying to start a big problem, just wanted to express my concerns about the contests.

Durito, its not about the $100 as much as it is about the posters that are not allowed to play simply because they cant sign up for a new account at the books that sbr is offering. If you already had accounts at all the books and sbr told you you couldnt partipate...I think your tune would be a bit diffrent.
I also agree with the OP. I used up my last book to get into the contest and am fresh out. Next year with having to sign up on all these books only new posters will be able to compete. At the very least the posters with accounts at all the sponsoring books should be able to choose one and make a deposit.

As for rules, I do not see why then cannot be bent or broken. After all, the rules in the 128 man tourney were broken twice with apparently no consequences. It only follows that the btp contest should bend them also.

This does not currently include BOL or Carib

I do hope that we hear back from them with regards to sponsoring on SBR Contests, but, as of this writing, that hasn't happened
Alright well its only if they signed up with them for a prior tourney. Sean...Do you know when or if the will be a change in the rules about this?

A few guys already received PMs. The originals won't be excluded.

That is cool. Good posters like mudcat should never be excluded.

Can you give out specifics of what the ruling was? Or can you at least tell me if Mudcat and Hedgehog were allowed to play?

AAO ... we're still attempting to attract additional sponsor books for SBR Contests and BTP ... we cannot add them without their specific consent though.

In the meantime, we've made these contest amendments ... may not address everyone but should take care of long time forum posters and BTP-ers, as well as be a bit more inclusive for guys that just wanna jump in a play for fun, bragging rights and some smaller prizes.

Sean, I like the new amendements. I think these should help everyone be able to partipate. Big thanks to Bill Dozer and Sean for the help and consideration of posters opinions.

It's not that frustrating for me. It is more a relief. Contests are a bit of a nuisance. I don't enter them but for some reason I feel like I have a duty to play BTP. I don't know why.

And I get all stressed. It's stupid. I'll have normal bets worth 10x the amount on Sunday but I'll be all stressed about my BTP pick.

Some kind of ego thing, I suppose.

But I'm not feeling all that put out personally if I can't participate.

But no matter how easy-going I want to be about this, it just doesn't seem right, having rules that discriminate against the most experienced players simply because they have already given the max support to the sponsors.
Funny post bro. Been there done that. You ever get your contest plays in and then forget to put your real bets in? I cut way down on getting in these contests. So far im in just one contest. Last year i had a folder with about ten of them in it. I forget to put one bet in that cost me 500 but im fighting for a yearly prize with 80 roll overs for 500 Im all for helping a site but like you i think i played at all these books one time or another. I guess im shut out unless there is something in the rest of this thread which i haven't finished reading yet.
