At this point in the season, we'll do the MLB contest for September. And, of course, BTP begins September 3.

So are you saying there is no August contest? There are 3 people playing already.

Love the BTP stipulation that players must open a new sportsbook account with a $100 minimum deposit. This will get rid of all the contest whores with a handful of posts that contribute nothing. Much better this way.

While I like the stipulation that a deposit = tournament credits, I strongly dislike the fact that I must select a NEW sportsbook. As long as I make a new deposit into a sponsor book, or if my account is 0 at a sponsor book and I make a re-up deposit, that should count. Why wouldn't you reward loyalty to your sponsors?

This is my ? which is related. I have an account with Bookmaker that was automatically transfered from Bet cris when the USA situation changed things. Its never been funded. So in reality I have a Bookmaker account even though I never signed up or funded the thing. Same thing with 5dimes I have an account from the Baseball contest in which I won free rolls but I've never funded it. They deserve some of my football stake. Its this type of situation Qualify for the BTP? I'm not keen on opening yet another account when these options are simplier and easier.

This makes no sense. I have an account at every book listed.
Why would I have to make a NEW account?
And also I assume making a new account when you already have an account at that book would cause some problems.

Folks ... we're getting some more sponsors signed up for SBR Contests as we speak. If you already have accounts at every existing sponsor, then please check back with us in a few days ... should have a few more to choose from any day now.

Right, sounds like you'd need to open the new account, even though your other accounts have been dormant.

There will be even more sportsbook sponsors forthcoming as Sean touched on, so need not worry. Just hang tight.

If on the odd chance I actually did win the contest I somehow doubt I will be seeing any prizes coming from betcris. That is ok though. Next week they have a special kick in the nuts coming.

the phoenix sports ticket contest is sponsored by bookmaker /cris and first prize is 10,000;; BTP is totally different this yr and the new acct requirement is iffy;; i don't like the changes ;; last yr was fabulous;; of course i don't know what the monthly prizes amount to so don't want to say too much;; 5000 a month seems like more money but divide it over say 100 winners doesnt seem as enticing as a 10000 first prize

hey crazyL,
If we opened a new account for the 128 man handicapper contest, but haven't funded it yet, does that count as new enough for the BTP?

Good question.
You would still need to open a brand new account. Doing this allows us to give more back to you guys, as well as give you attractive bonuses on top of whatever promotion the sportsbook you join will offer.

It's $5000 a week, not month.
The Beat The Prick football handicapping contest offers a weekly prize pool of $5000 USD from SBR, to be split amongst all contestants who score higher than The Prick for that week.

The Rules make it sound like you have to deposit and complete wagering requirements before eligible to play?
All deposits and additional bonuses will be subject to a 5x rollover as well as the Terms and Conditions of the sponsoring sportsbook.
Upon successful completion of the above listed items, contestants are ready to play Beat The Prick.

Seems to me that if the Prick goes 3-1 or 3-0-1 in a week than there will likely only be like 5-10 people going 4-0 and they would split 5K?
